your laser is probably weak or dusty, cleaning the lens with a qtip, might remove some dirt/dust --if it continues to freeze and the discs themselves arent full of fingerprints etc.. than unfortunately the laser is bad and wouldnt be practical to replace

i have a sansa e260r and i have been trying for ages to get a video file onto my sansa i have already downloaded the sansa media converter but it recognizes very limited number of files only,it does not recoganize realplayer files or winamp file .can you please tell me a good ipod converter thati can easily download from the net ?
It depends on brand of converter. In Radioshack they have one with AV-in ports (for $56 (-$40 coupon = $16). So TV signal going trough antenna and DVD/VCR going trough AV-in of converter to the same antenna of TV. Or you will have to hook up the CONVERTER - ANTENNA IN VCR/DVD - Antenna OUT VCR/DVD - ANTENNA IN TV. And you will use the remote of converter to switch the channels.
Good Luck
what is your operating system? have you upgraded yo a higher version? if you did then you must have installed a driver thatis not designed to work withy our OS now.
