Check all your connections.. The best way to troubleshoot this is, unlug all your speaker and a/v connections. Just leave power plugged in. If it still does it? It could be an internal problem. If it stays on after? Attach your connections one by one until you see which one is causing the short.

The tv turn off it self and turn on it self

My Philips 42pfll7603d/10 turns its self on and off has no picture or sound and on the source menu it shows side then turns its self off


Look for loose contacts in power outlet, power cord, RC jacks, cable, sockets. Try changing the input device to something that works such as a DVD player.

Tv turns off by it self


Ours 60" (60P8342) turns off after a short period of time also. My husband researched it online. The cheap solution he was told to try is to unplug the TV (or plug into power strip and switch off) when you are done watching it. A computer board inside over heats and it's a protection mechanism for it to turn off. Otherwise, it's over $100 to fix the computer board.
