You need to install the sonicstage prior from downloading mp3 songs because this will serve as your download manager. as soon as you connect your mp3 the sonic stage automatically detects your mp3 then you must follow the instruction that will proceed

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

To reformat the NWZ-S545 Walkman follow these steps found on page 92 of the operation guide:

Formatting memory [Format]
You can format the built-in flash memory of the player.

  • If the memory is formatted, all data (songs, videos, photos, etc., including sample data installed at the factory) will be erased. Be sure to verify the data stored in memory prior to formatting, and export any important data to the hard disk of your computer.
  • Be sure not to initialize (format) the built-in flash memory of the player using Windows Explorer. If you have formatted with Windows Explorer, format again using the player.
  • This function is only available in the pause mode.
  1. From the [Home] menu, select [Settings] / [Common Settings] / [Format]. [All data including songs will be deleted. Proceed?] appears.
  2. Select [Yes]. [All data will be deleted. Proceed?] appears. To cancel the operation, select [No].
  3. Select [Yes]. When initialization finishes, [Memory formatted.] appears. To cancel the operation, select [No].

There is a recovery service listed here, but generally not - i do not vouch for this service:

Generally you have to find the songs again.

A lot of things can cause songs to be lost, especially if you are using Napster, get a firmware upgrade, reformat the player, or get a corrupt DB.

MP3 Player plays only 25 songs, capacity 1GB (861 MB)

Seems like a big problems you got there...

I reccomened re-formatting your drive to fat32 (for windows users) and giving it a second try.

I had the saem trouble a while back with my iPod Video 60gb and noticed that it was storing huge amounts of data that wasnt meant to be there. After the reformat it all worked again.

You also sure its not a full drive? because my Q-Be used to say "file error" on a full drive (vista bug)

---Give reformatting a go though.

Mp3 scrubbed

I have never used a sandisk but I doubt you could do anything to recover the music. Try reformat/reset it then reinstal all the software and drivers that came with or help with your mp3 player
