CX5400 Replaced all the ink carts after months in storage (the M & Y were not printing) now I get blank prints. Not even a hint of black or color. Tried the clean, align, and new features multiple times without results. Examined hose connections - was fine. Now what? - RFS

- Brand new carts. Shook them, yes they have ink in them. Connection port for each cart has ink on them in the printer, which makes me think there is ink coming from the carts.Oct 07, 2009

- What if being in storage, with ink carts plugged in, has dried/clogged print head. If clean heads doesn't do the job, is there a way to clean the heads manually. How do I know if they are so gooped-up that they need to be replaced? Can print heads be replaced manually?Oct 07, 2009
- By-the-way, Ink levels in all carts is down to 80%. All I have been doing is "Clean Heads". I don't see any leaks/spills/puddles of ink in the printer. The ink must be flowing somewhere. The little clear tube that goes under the carts when you do a cart install has a droplet of ink in it that vibrates like it has pressure behind it while going through the new cart install proceedure, but I don't see any freeflowing ink in the tube. Tubes mostly clean.
