Try rebooting the computer in safe mode with networking...this is usually done by tapping the F8 key while the manufacturers splash screen shows up for a few seconds. Once the multi-boot screen comes up scroll to safe mode with networking and click ok. Once the computer boots up, it will probably be using a generic video driver to show a picture, go to acer's support site and download a fresh driver, the link is below....good luck. when you click the link, make sure you pick what operating system you are using to get the correct driver. click on drivers > notebook > aspire > 5630 > choose operating system.

Acer extensa 5630 laptop. my crystal eye wcam doesnt work on windows 7 operating system. anybody can help?

You need to locate a set of Windows 7 drivers, By your post I assume you upgraded from a previous version of windows. These drivers will have to be provided by the camera Manufacturer or Acer. You might possibly be able to get it working by setting Win 7 to run that device in Compatibility mode.

Won't boot up on first try

Whenever you do get it booted into windows, run the command prompt and in there run "chkdsk /f". That will check your disk for errors and repair them. Yours sounds like a boot sector problem, chkdsk should be able to fix that.
