My husband did not put a nail (or something) into the hinge when we took off the oven door and the hinge sprung into the walls of our RV Magic Chef oven. How do I retrieve the hinges so I can take the bungie cord off the handle!!!

This is a serious pain
down a few hundred of these overe the years
ok you will need long needle nose pliers
and a sturdly flat head screw driver
try to reach it with the needle nose
and usae the flat head as a pincher try to work it behind the hinge
these springs are 110 lbs so it will take some effort to get them out
short of this you will need to drop them out of the cavity on each side of the drawer

I have a magic chef electric wall oven and it flashes an error code of F3 when I try to bake something. How do I fix it and what does it mean?

The F3 code means that the temperature sensor in the oven is not giving the signal to the oven control. This could be the result of a problem with the wiring or the wire harness between the control board and the sensor or indicate that the sensor itself has failed.

To identify the correct parts, you need to provide your oven model number. Try here: http://www.partselect.com/Magic-Chef-Parts.htm . There are other sources for parts.

I hope this helps. If you add a comment with the model number, I'll be glad to give you more specific information for your wall oven.

HOW DO YOU REATTACH THE OVEN DOOR?

To re-attach the oven door on a Jenn-Air oven is a little tricky; if you had taken the door off the correct way there would be no problem. The hinges have two parts. One part, which we'll call the stationary part, has to be inserted into two openings at the front, bottom of the oven. What you need to do is pry that part away from the door. You will see a hole in that part. Stick something like a nail into that hole; that will keep the stationary part from going to its original position. Do that on both hinges, and you'll find it easy to insert the stationary part into their "receptacles". If left alone the door will then not close. Pull the door a little towards you and remove the nails, and you did the job.

Took the door off my oven to clean it can't get it back on

I put something behind the hinges, usually screwdriver handles, to hold them open long enough to slide the door onto the hinges. If you have the style that has the hinge on the door, you usually have to stick a nail into a hole in the hinge (in the open position), that is designed to hold it in the open position. Install the door, and remove the nail. Another design has a lever that has to be rotated into the locked position on the hinge. You have to be pretty strong for some of these hinges to pull the hinge out enough to lock the lever in place. If this is your style make sure you lock the lever before you remove the door next time. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

My roper oven door fell off. We have tried locking the spring loaded hinges in place but they don't stay long enough to fit them into the grooves.

Took the oven door off and now cant get it back on

Typically one cannot fight the hinges while putting the door on.

USUALLY you can move a hinge down/open and there is a hole to put a nail through to hold each hinge down while you get the door in place.

what you have to do is get a couple of nails pull the hinge on the door down far enough to insert the nails in the holes and let it rest against the door this will hold the door at the proper angle to engage the hooks inside the hinge slots on the body of the range grasp the door on each side and insert the hinges in each side to engage the hooks then open the door all the way and remove the nails

Whirlpool oven door

Push the hinges out till they click once. At this point, get your nails or screws ready. Use a screw driver and wedge the hinges further apart. When you see the hole in the hinge appear, put the nail in it to hold it open. With both done, drop door in place; open door slightly, and remove nails.
