The pull cord on my 110 honda broke, so we

The pull cord on my 110 honda trike broke, so we replaced it, but I am uncertain that I put it back together properly. Also the cord won't go back in all the way, you have to lightly tug to feed it back in, which is not good for the motor, because it it's already started, any info on how to put it back together properly would be helpful. The coil had popped out & we put it back in, could it be the coil is ruined & I need a new one, maybe too much cord? I don't know, please help!

It sounds like you have it back together correctly except for one issue. You did not put enough pre-load back in to the spring.
Or in other words you didn't rewind the spring enough.

Normally you attach the cord to be rewound and turn or tighten the spring until the length of the cord is completely retracted on to the pulley. This problem usually happens because the unit is reinstalled at this point. What you need to do is turn it another 2 to 4 turns (depending on the pulley size), to place enough tension on the cord to fully retract. You may have to experiment with the number of turns to get it right because both the length of the new cord and pulley size influence this.
If this still doesn't take care of the problem please let me know and I'll try and talk you through it.

Hope this helps.

Fork oil for a 1980 Honda cb400 used on a trike

standard weight for that model is 10 wt. for your trike application you may want to go with 15 wt. Automatic transmission fluid is a good substitute for 10 wt. and was actually reccomended by Honda for years back in the day.

Pull rope repair

Try removing the housing. Many times it will just get jammed. If it goes back in then realign and try again. If not, the spring may be broken and need replaced.

Broken pull cord

Pull cords can be purchased from your local hardware stores. If the handle just broke off, and the cord is fine, the handle itself can be replaced.

If you are uncomfortable performing the work, just look for 'small engine repair' places in your yellow pages.

Have an Excell 2500, VR2522...... Pull cord broke and now i think the spring is broke; where can I get a new spring and directions to reassemble the pull start?

That pressure washer uses a Honda 5.5 hp overhead cam engine
You need to get the model number of the Honda Engine and then Click Here to go to the ereplacementparts.com website and put the engine model number to order the parts.

Pull Rope Broke... How do I replace it and still have it retract?

with the cover in your hand pull the cord out with a pair of needle nose pliers or a little screw driver and where the cord go through the case and before the wheel. pull 5 to 10 inches out and wrap the cord around the wheel turning the wheel but not winding the cord on., do 3 or 4 wraps then pull the handle to get all the cord out and let it retract. if not enough rewind just repeat with 2 wraps
