Hi, I can make and receive calls but i can hardly hear the person on the other end. Even when the volume is full or on speaker it sounds like they're miles away but they can hear me. Also it always says call forwarding active and i can tap dismiss. What can I do so I can hear clearly?

May sound incredibly obvious for which I apologise but you have taken off the protective plastic covering that comes with the iPhone? It covers the earpiece.

First, try restoring it. Plug it in to the computer and Click Restore When it pops up in itunes. Please note that this will destroy all data on the phone.
If that doesnt work, call apple.

My Iphone was doing the same thing. I had just ordered a new headphone jack to replace the one in the phone. However, I saw a post where someone had cut the tip of a qtip of, leaving just enough of the cotton on the end. They then used the qtip to clean out the headphone jack. I tried this but it didnt work. However, I had accidentally pressed the volume button during one of the cleanings, and I noticed that it would change from headphones to regular ringer settings as I was cleaning the jack. I used the qtip to move around in the jack while the volume display was up. I eventually got the display to change to regular ringer volume, and now my Iphone works like it always has. I guess there is something in the jack that was "switched" that made it think the phone had headphone connected.

my problem is when I 'm trying to make a phone call, by touching the key pad
the digits don't appear on the screen, so I cannot call a new number.
I can still make calls with my contact list!

Guys, I'm having the same problem. I can't hear the incoming conversation but they can hear me. When I put it on speaker phone, then it was fine. Reset many times, still persists.

I can't hear anyone unless the iphone is on speaker mode or has the headphones plugged in. I've restarted it and reset it from the settings function but it's still not working...

I don't know but once a drop of tea, though not hot fell on my iphone and as soon as it dropped I cleaned it with tissue paper and since it was sticky, i put a drop of water and tried to clean it but looks like since that day 3 days back, I can't hear people on the other line when I talk to them so not sure what's the problem... I can hear only when I put on speakers or use my headphones.
Someone pls pls help me and in dire need of a solution.

plz i did jailbreak my iphone 1.1.2 and i can make a phone calls but i cant receive any of them and i cant get into my recents or even send a msg but it showed me that i get a msg but i cant see it
