Ever limit switch i changed in my Weatherking furnace, it breaks the switch, what could cause this?

You need the model number of the furnace to determine what the flashing light is telling you. Many times the part that looks to be at fault is not the true fault in the furnace. A slow running blower could cause the limit switch to trip. The circuit board tells you that the limit tripped, but the real cause is the motor or clogged filter.

Weatherking furnace will not ignite

Turn off power to furnace and remove upper panel only. Turn the power back on and turn the thermostat all the way up. Go back down to furnace and watch the burner section.

This is what you should look for
1)On the left hand side of the furnace near the burner, the igniter should glow red, if it glows red and shuts off without igniting the burner then you have a problem with the venting or faulty pressure switch.

2) If it does not glow red but you have power to the furnace, the ignitier is most likely cracked.

Hello, make sure the gas valve is opening and the burners are getting gas and verify that the gas valve is getting 24 volts.

U need to supply more info. There will be a sticker on the furnace likely in the lower Fan Compartment which will have a legend that explains each error code...ie: 3 blinks = Pressure switch etc....and u will need to provide more info on how the furnace is operating (whats it doing ) when it stops working or just prior to that

  1. The sensor that tells the furnace whether the gas is lit has got build-up on it and is giving the furnace bad information.
  2. The flame sensor is often a single wire or rod that sticks up in the center of the flame.
  3. You can shut off the furnace and the gas and clean the sensor with some sandpaper.
If that still doesn't work, the sensor may need to be replaced.

Please rate this solution.

Weatherking control board

the fan comes on only after the burner fires. so no stat voltage is expected. it is not powering the blower, the elec board is. only after burner lights will fan be energized due to heat build up. usually on older weatherking there is a heat sensor on the bulhead above the burners. it is stuck sounds like to me. try a sharp rap on the right side about four feet up the side and a foot back . if fan stops you know the switch was stuck . probably needs a new fan switch.

Weatherking furnace

Easy to fix. Looking inside the burner box, you should see a rod that extend into the flame. Sand this rod with sand paper and try to start the furnace again. if this does not work, replace this part.
