Question about Acer TravelMate 4000WLCi Notebook
My acer is asking for hdr password all of a sudden,so i cannot access my files
3. if unable to ge into Windows then Alt/F10 during boot right after Acer splash screen on startup

No easy fix - your drive is either corrupted so the computer thinks it is locked or someone set a password on it. There is no easy way to remove a password from a drive - the password is stored directly on the platter itself - there is no "hack" i have ever found to download
This company can remove passwords from a drive over the internet for $40-$80 but you have to plug the drive into the inside of a desktop to do it....If you are not comfortable doing it then get a computer savvy friend to help.
