This happend to me!

You may have fed a wet sheet through the feeder. This will pick up ink and transfer it to the glass.

Lift the main lid over the glass and then BOTH covers on the feeder. There is a glass area to the far left.

Jim

Clean it and you should be good to go.

My printer is low on yellow and magenta and is printing a stripe of each color on the papers edge.

Hi.
On the drums for each colour there is a purple/blue/green slider for cleaning the corona wire. If there is a stripe of colour anywhere on the page going from top to bottom check these sliders. They need to be where the arrow on the slider meets the arrow on the drum casing.

As for low toner on the Yellow and Magent - Replace the cartridges.

Hp 7250 scans are not clear

In the menu area of the printer you can adjust the light and dark of the scan. That should help you out. If you can get a darker copy of what you are scanning that will help as well.

I added another laptop to the wireless printer and now it doesn't print what is on the screen. It just prints letters and prints on and on of nothing but carbage until I cancel print job. It won't stop...

Sounds like a printer driver problem. In Printers and Faxes, delete the wireless printer's icon from the laptop that has the printing problem. Then, reinstall the printer driver. Hope that helps.

Overall pink cast and pink stipe at top of all images taken.

Never had that camera, however, had the same problem -- the pink stripe and pink cast. Turns out the lens cover was slightly cracked and not opening and closing properly. Thus -- the pink cast.

There are verticle lines when faxing, copying, and scanning.

This print defect can be caused by a foreign object or substance on the outside of the scanner assembly, usually located on the plastic cover that the paper passes over.

Stripes on scanned photo

Do copies come out the same? How about when you print? If you get the stripes whenever the printer prints from the computer or copies, then you probably have a bad ink cartridge. If you get it only when you make copies or scan, then check for dirt on the scan glass. Clean it anyway with some commercial glass cleaner. See if that works.

Dell All in One Printer 962-dark vertical line on photo copies

If you are running your copies through the document feeder then see if the line goes away if you make a copy directly from the glass. If the line goes away then open up the doc feeder assy. by hinging it to the left. Underneath you will find that there is a thin strip of glass that the document passes over when it is scanned. Clean this strip of glass and this should correct your problem. If there is a smudge of dirt or small line, it will come out as a solid verticle line when scanned.

DELL 1600N

If it makes verticle lines only when using the document feeder it is most likely a dirty glass strip over the scanner light bar. If it makes verticle lines in all modes (printing, flat bed scanning/copying, receiving faxes) it could be the fuser or a dirty glass over the laser where ever the laser images to a drum roller (usually a larger green roller). It is possible that this green drum roller is inside the toner - if so - replacing the toner cartridge could fix it. Maybe you could try an old used toner to see of the problem changes - if so - it is very likely that a new toner would fix your print quality issue.
