Question about Sony NW-HD5 MP3 Player

1 Answer

No Data Base found

First Happy Holidays . I was saving the bible to my MP3 it said not enough space so I deleted some of my music to make it fit . Then when I went to play it it flases "No Data Base found" When I plug my Mp3 into my computer go to my computer and click on MP# it shows the music but when I unplug and go to play I get the warning "no data base foune" Seems that trying to put the Bible on wiped everything out . Maybe someone didn't like my selection of music .
Help I am lost without my MP3

Thank You

Re: No Data Base found

maybe your unit is carrying of Virus thats why you got abnormal function! or the best you to do is to reformat the mp3 to software then scan the unit of anti virus.

"Not enough free space"

If you delete files on a MAC they are still there. Go to Options or Utilities folder (depending on which OS is running). Use the clean utility to clear the dead files.

Sony walkman 1 gig mp3

If you just deleted the Music folder with all of the music files together, then you may want to recreate the Music folder. If it's already there, then you may want to reinstall the firmware software on the Sony Support Center.

Good luck and Happy Holidays.

MP3 needs to refresh DataBase?

You have to many songs a sansa e 250 only holds a certain amount of space so your best bet is to buy a memory card or delete songs so you can add new ones.

I cant change any of the songs on my mp3!!!

Try it in your realplayer and see if you can add and delete there after you syncronize it, Try that see if it works for you, Hope so, also if you do manage to hook up with usb go into the setting and check and make sure that all options are check that you want to work, If you see that there is a way to let the sanddisk manage music on my sansa or you can do it, If sandisk is managing it, It will not let you add music, so change that and see if that helps ya out, You may also notice that there is another way to connnect in the sandisks options again, I hope that gets you up and saving music, Take Care and Happy Holidays

Cannot load the music Data base.

Music Database refers to the information you see on the screen (i.e. Artist, Album, etc.) The device needs some free space in order to create this list.

The device is either too full, or the database is corrupt.

First, try connecting to your PC and deleting about 10 to 15 tracks. Restart the device and see if that helps.

If not, Try formatting the device thru My Computer>Device name (U10)>Right Click and select format.(this will erase everything on the device)

Best of Luck.
