so any sound card with vista support / software will work with windows 7, I know this first hand since I have had windows 7 on my desktop computer and now on my laptop.

  • Ekse Oct 07, 2009

why wouldn't it work? Install the vista software for the unit to the windows 7 computer, it will install and should work perfectly.

alright, let me know if you need help with it, I'm sure it will work.

My laptop is HP Pavilion Entertainment got Windows 7 installed.sound not to be heard

Find the information about your audio, is it on the motherboard or is it through a sound card. Is *********** board / sound card compatible with windows 7? Do you have the drivers installed if they exist? If none of this is compatible you need to buy a newer windows 7 compatible sound card and install it.

I have windows 7 and the fca 202 berhinger and i can't find the driver to active

Try installing the driver again using compatibility mode, set to Windows Vista. Alternately, you can right click and chosse check compatibility, or it's worded something like that. Windows will tell you what mode (Vista or XP) to install it in.

We do have a sound card but we dont have a driver i want to install one but im afraid its not compatible with our im not sure if we are using windows xp or 7

Most modern sound chips use an AC'97 driver Go to and download the driver listed in the support area of the web site. This driver should suffice. Windows 7 is a little more of a pain as many peripherals do not have Windows 7 compatible drivers as yet. At this stage, try the realtek website..
