This soap dispenser is the same as Bosch. Source lid and blue clip, this will rectify, but make sure v spring is re-fit correctly. PW.

Dispenser cover does not close properly

Usually you would not reconnect the spring in the unit due to most likely the spring is now outstretched and would just end up falling off again even if you did put it back to where it belonged. If on the other hand you can tell that the spring is not outstretched you would need to provide the make and the model number of your unit in order for me to properly tell you how to put the spring back in place. Most of the time when the spring does let go it is far more easier to just replace the soap dispenser itself rather then going through the headache of trying to attach the spring and having it fall off once again. I am also attaching a youtube video on how to change the dispenser as well but here is the link if it does not

if you have any further questions message me back.
Thank you
Rick
p.s if you need me to look up the part number for the dispenser message me back you make and model number

Soap dispenser cover latch will not stay in the hole. So now the soap holder will not stay closed.

Hi
Dishwashers use Bi-Metal strip to allow the dispenser to open/close. This strip when heat up causes the soap door spring to open up the dispenser. If this strip is not heated doesn't allow the door to open. The strip may not be getting 120V or maybe disconnected. Newer (plastic liner) dishwashers use a wax motor to open the soap dispenser. The plunger inside the wax motor slowly moves and pushes the plunger and door open. And, if this wax motor doesn't receive 120 volts, then it'll not work. Please check the voltage to the wax motor/Bi-metal strip; also inspect the connections to these. Hope this helps...

Hello. I have a GE Potscrubber 600 dishwasher. The soap dispenser will not close. This seems to be a common problem. Any help would be great, thank you.

Main detergent cup won't close on GE Potscrubber 700 GSD700.A workaround is to add the additional detergent with rinse aid 18 minutes intothe wash cycle. To repair, switch off power through circuit breaker. Set timerknob to 12 o'clock. If the detergent cup lever spring opens the cup after it isclosed, remove screws on panel that holds detergent cup and remove the panel upand out of door. Remove timer cover by moving it right and pulling up to exposetimer, see photo 1. _1909.jpg If a spring is loose, it can be reattached as follows.Remove two screws that hold timer, then remove timer. Do not remove timer knobfrom front of GSD700 because knob is designed for removal from rear of panel, after the timer is out. If spring attachment point broke off, reinforce it withepoxy (JBKwik), see gray cone upper right of center in photo 2. _1910.jpg After epoxy cures, drill and tap a hole for a metric 3 - 0.5mm-8mm screw (4-40 may also work). Install spring between new screw anddispenser linkage and tighten screw, see photo 3. _1911.jpg Install timer, jiggle knob so it engages timer and securetimer with two screws. Pull dispenser lever down to make sure it moves andsprings back. Replace round switch and cover. Install white cover with leverextended through it. Install cover screws, close soap door, and rotate timer, soap door should open after about 90 degrees of rotation followed by rinse aidactuation.

Triton XL detergent dispenser won't stay closed

Well this is not a solution by any means but I would just put the tablet or powder directly into the machine-just "chuck it in". It will work just the same. The dispenser itself isnt truly necessary.

Soap dispenser door came off

First, look at the spring from sliding dispenser cover - it has 2 ends with loops - one end has a little "curve" in it; other end is "straight", no curve.
Sliding cover and lever of dispenser have little knobs for attaching the spring.
The loop of "curved" end has to be pushed and attached to sliding cover,
the loop of "straight" end has to be pushed and attached to lever of dispenser (the lever is blue color, other parts are gray).

After spring is attached to both - sliding cover and lever, push the cover first at upper groove, then at lower groove - It should slide easily.

Soap dispenser cover won't close

It sounds like it may be stuck between cycle steps.(this sometimes happens if the washer is open during a cycle)Try and run it through one full wash cycle as it is.Then check to see if the soap door will close. If not,the lack may be broken

The cover of detergent dispenser does not open..

It is most likely the flip spring...you need to be certain that the legs of the spring are inside the door edge and the spring does not swing freely...and there must be tension on the spring so that when the latch releases the door flips...you can also try this with an elastic, put the elastic inside the closed door and up around the drying solution knob, this will let the door flip open showing that the latch does work
