Question about Car Audio & Video
The principle is that if you play a music track you will be able to hear music through speakers. When you get a message from TomTom the music will break and you will hear the message.
If instead of listening to music you put on your SD card a silent track you will just listen to the Sat Nav without any music.
In the meanwhile you won't be able to listen to music from car stereo.
You can just store the following silent MP3 (2 seconds) into SD card, and select play loop so to repeat the 2 secs blank track.
Here the 2 seconds silent MP3.
Note: Using TomTom in this way may be against local laws and regulations.

To copy Tom Tom silent file to your device you need an SD card, without that you cant do that..
Here is the instruction to copy the silent file:
1: Update to latest firmware from tomtom website, for 8.351
2: Put that silent mp3 file into the MP3 folder of the SD card that can be accessed from the My computer after connecting the TomTom to the computer
3: Play silent mp3 in loop
4: Send nav instructions over fm to radio...
Now this should enable playing sound to handsfree speakers, Dont forget to update theFirmware
Please leave me comment, if you need further assistance
