HI, If the lint filter becomes full, this will not allow the air flow to properly escape the ventilation shoot, in return, causing the thermal fuse to blow. You will need to replace the hi limit thermostat, and the thermal fuse as well. this will correct the issue.

The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting. The hi limit thermostat is locate and mounted on the element housing.

Dryer won't stay hot through the cycle

First make sure lint filter is clean. If filter clean check the exhust duct it may be full of lint or kinked blocking air flow. If everything checks out ok the problem is electrical. Dryers have a high temp switch as a safety shut off.

My tricity bendix tm320 heater wont heat on half heat but will heat on full heat

It may be as simple as checking your lint filter.
If you use fabric softeners sheets, they tend to clog the lint filter holes. Washing it with soap and water will restore it back to normal and will allow the circulation that the dryer needs to properly dry your clothes.

It just doesn't seem like my frigidaire gas affinity dryer is drying as fast as it should

Hey Car Guy,.. there are two factors that determine how fast the clothes will dry:
1- air temperature, Is the gas burner is lighting and heating the air? Just stop the dryer mid-cycle and feel the clothes - if they are hot, then the burner/heating part of the dryer is working ok.

2 - adequate air going through the dryer. This is usually where the problem lies. There is a lint filter at the dryer somewhere, accessed either where the door opens, or on the top of the dryer....there may be an additional lint filter somewhere on the exhaust duct. Check for that, and check your air flow where it exhausts outslde. See that the flappers of the backdraft damper aren't stuck closed etc.

If you have good heat and good air flow, then it's doing all it can.

GE gas dryer DSXH47GGWW- starts fine and begins to heat up then shuts off with a message that the lint filter needs cleaned. The lint filter has been completely cleaned and vacumed inside, outside and...

Hello,

With no lint anywhere around the dryer the thing to check if havent already is the venting itself to see if outside it is blowing and not restricted or blocked

The control is sensing poor air flow and throws up the "clean filter" when air flow is restricted all be it from the filter clogged, or blocked/restricted vent

Dryer gets very hot on top rear but inside only warm..c

Check that the lint filter is installed properly. Check the vent to the outside and the pipe going to it out the back of the machine are not crushed or full of lint. Is the dryer drum rotating(broken belt)? If you have heat but slow drying check the lint filter and venting all the way to the outside. It is fairly common for the vent to become blocked after a lot of use espesially if it is a vertical vent.

ESTATE DRYER NOT HEATING

Check for a blown thermal fuse. It's about an inch long and is inside the rear of the dryer, usually attached to or near the exhaust duct. It can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a blown thermal fuse. The filter being full of lint has most likely caused the fuse to blow, Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Bosch Axxis Starts and stops

The lint light keeps coming on and shuts the dryer off so clothes are not dry. I checked the filter and it is clear. Now the bottom of filter is cracked (plastic part) so I need to replace. But why does the lint light come on now after 5 years of use? It never came on before even when the lint filter was full?
