Question about Kenmore Dryers
HI, If the lint filter becomes full, this will not allow the air flow to properly escape the ventilation shoot, in return, causing the thermal fuse to blow. You will need to replace the hi limit thermostat, and the thermal fuse as well. this will correct the issue.
The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting. The hi limit thermostat is locate and mounted on the element housing.
