Question about Sirius SUBX1 Universal Plug and Play Boom Box Boombox

1 Answer

I need to add outdoor speakers, and the headphone

On my Sirius boom box, I need to add outdoor speakers, and the headphone jack does not have enough power. i tried to open the box to wire directly to the existing speakers with a three-way switch, but i found the box to be better engineered than my thirty plus years in the mechanical field, making it seem impossible to open. How can I add more speakers?

I would run the headphone jack to an amp then hook up you outdoor speakers to the amp.

Can't get headphones to work on this unit

Aux-in jack is used to play another device such as an Ipod or other sources through your Jensen player, using it as some sort of an amplifier. Look for another port on your Jensen player that says "audio out" or "Spkr" (means speakers) to plug in her headphones. If you can't find any of these ports then you might have purchased a n actual boom box, which does not have the capability to play through headphones, sorry about that.

You could use a fm sender to go from the computer headphones and tune in the boombox radio to play the sound..

Connecting outdoor speakers thru satellite box

go audio out of you sat box into a 2 channel amp or into your surround receiver if you have a 2nd zone, if the surround receiver is 7.1 u can most likely hook them up to the surround back and then change the setting to be a 2nd zone instead of surr back hope this helps.

Adding Spaekers

If it's an original 321 system (series 1) then it has an audio output on the back. (via RCA jacks) You would still need an amp or receiver to connect the speakers to.. (unless they're powered speakers)
If it's a 321 series II or 321 series III- it does not have an audio output.
If the system has a DVD tray right in the middle of the media center, then it's a series 1.
Otherwise, you'd have to get a 1/8 splitter to come from your Mac's headphone output. (still- you will need an amp/receiver or powered speakers to have both 'rooms' playing the same thing from your computer)

Problem with my speakers. They wont work - checked my drivers / connections - is there a diagnostic tool ?

Connect the speakers to another device like a boom box or the headphone jack on the tv and see if they work their or not. if they do then you need to check the pc for the hardware or drivers. First find out if the speaker work

Need to find a satellite receiver for my JVC-200 boom box

I have a JVC boom box and I use a Sirius Sratus radio on mine through the line input of the boom box. Probably sounds better than the Sirius boom box that plugs into it.

Broken headphone tip in headphone jack

Only thing I can think of is to use a very small drill bit and drill into the broken tip and then pull it out very carefully.Try this at your own risk.
