Problem e-8301

Although it's in spanish, here you can find a tutorial to disassemble the unit and clean the laser lens.

Usually the error is solved after this.

I have a Sony CDP-CX350. I recently discovered the remote will not control anything on the player. The remote has fresh batteries and displays that a signal is sent out. The same display usually shows...

If you have turned it back on then this would indicate the receiving module that picks up the infrared signal is not working and has become defective, but I would double check your manual so nothing was over looked.

Cd/dvd stops reading disc half way then stops.loading tray sticks or has a delay

Disc stops playing due to tracking error from either a dirty source cd or a dirty blank. It is not the machines fault. Clean both discs thoroughly before recording. Even non visible dust can cause a stoppage. My Sony recorder does seem to be a little too sensitive to dust but it normally works fine.

Adcom GCD 700 tracking problems

Hi mate,
I experienced this problem awhile back with mine. I had it serviced and the techs couldn't find anything wrong. They cleaned the laser and lubed the tray and sent it back. To my dismay, the problem re-started shortly after arrival and then stopped. By coincidence, I had just finished a home theater set up "that did not have wall to wall carpeting" and low behold the problem stopped and never re-surfaced. I summed it up to static charge/discharge which might also be your problem.

I hope that helps.
