Question about Maxtor Hard Drive
No jumper is used on the J50 pins, when using the Maxtor 5T020H2 IDE harddrive, as a Slave harddrive.
In otherwords do not use a jumper on any of the jumper pins.
This is a PDF file of the Harddrive Specifications of the 5T020H2, 5T010H1, 5T030H3, 5T040H4, and 5T060H6 Maxtor IDE harddrives,
from Seagate. (Seagate bought out Maxtor)
The Jumper Settings are in Chapter 2, Page 5 (2-5)
Looking at the page number for the PDF file it's on Page 15.

Not sure what your issue is here but if you are looking for the jumper settings there is usually a diagram on the hard drive.
