Batteries go bad after a few years of regular usage, specially if you are in a very cold or very hot climate area. Make sure you get the exact replacement. What is the model #? Email me at kazi at hotmail dot com.

Hello, After charging my Peak 300 Jump Starter it whistle's (loudly) after I unplug it and it just keeps whistling... Can you tell me what the matter? email:

Refer to the instructions that came with charger. If you threw them away you have a problem You can go on line and download instructions.
Low Charge Alert (LCA)
On the front of the unit there is a Low Charge Alert port. There is a red plug in this port. With the plug
removed, when the battery level drops to LO, an alarm will sound to remind the user to recharge the
Jump-Starter.
The alarm can be turned off one of three ways:

Placing the pin back into the Low Charge Alert port

Recharging the battery immediately to bring it to the capacity of 10% or more

Pressing the battery indicator display button. If the alarm is turned off by pressing the battery
display button, the alarm will sound automatically again in approximately 1 hour.
The alarm will only be turned off permanently if the battery is in a fully charged state, or the pin is
inserted in the Low Charge Alert port. There is a storage port on the back of the Jump-Starter for the
LCA plug. When the plug is removed from the LCA port, it should be installed in the storage port on the
back of the Jump-Starter.
Charging Jump-Starter Battery
All rechargeable batteries gradually discharge when left idle, and you need to recharge them
periodically to maintain maximum battery capacity. The AC charger plug within the Jump-Starter is
designed to charge using a 110/120-volt outlet.

Fully charge unit to the recommended maximum and initial charge time of 24 hours. Thereafter, an
AC typical charge time is 8 to 12 hours.

Recharge the unit fully after each use. This will prolong the life of the battery because frequent
discharges between recharges will reduce battery life.

Make sure all functions of the Jump-Starter are turned off during recharging

Always showing the massege consider replace your bettery

Simply put, replace the battery with a true OEM battery.
I've gotten this on a number of notebooks and their batteries. It's really a matter of whether you use the notebook more on battery power or on AC power, because keeping a battery connected inside a notebook that runs mostly on AC power is a sure way to burn it out sooner.
Essentially, if all you use your notebook for is at home, or where you have access to AC power, then just disconnect the battery and run it on the AC adapter.
If you use it more for portability and rely on the battery, then I'd recommend replacing the battery, and be wary of offshore manufacturers who say they offer OEM replacements at really low cost. It's so true that you get what you pay for, especially with respect to notebook batteries.
When you do get the new battery, I'd suggest getting it fully charged before using it for the first time, and trying to cycle it down (discharging) the battery as low as possible between re-charges to extend the battery life.
As I mentioned previously, continuously keeping most batteries plugged in while operating on an AC adapter tends to limit the useful life and charge duration of these types of batteries, including both NiMH and Lithium (although the latter tends to have less of a "memory effect").
I hope this helps!

I have a Simon XT which I installed about two weeks ago. I keep getting a system low battery message when I press the status button on the console. I had a new battery shipped and I installed it about 24...

Call your Central Station and put your account on test if it is a monitored system.

Power down the system. Disconnect the battery, then the AC adapter. Then plug the battery in first, then the AC adapter. Plugging the AC adapter in first can cause the low battery message.

if that doesn't work, with the battery disconnected, measure the voltage of the battery with a multimeter. If it reads less than 5.4 volts, the battery is bad. Bad out of the box batteries are not too uncommon.

Next, check the charging voltage from the panel. Measure DC voltage from the leads that connect to the battery. They should read around 6 Volts DC. If the charging circuit is bad, it will cause a low battery trouble and the console will need to be repaired or replaced.

Hope this helps.

I lost the adapter/charger and purchased a new one of the same size. The light will work when plugged into the car cig lighter, but not while plugged into the dc adapter (has been plugged in for approx. 3...

The battery life for these lights are for about 2 years at the most if left uncharged. The best way to determine if you need new a new battery or batteries would be to dismantle the light, remove the batteries and check the voltage with a volt meter. If they are dead, you may be able to fine a suitable replacement at: http://www.batterymart.com/c-04-12-volt-sealed-lead-acid-batteries.html

Dell 9400 wont show AC power icon

If the computer is connected to an electrical outlet, the about10.jpg light operates as follows:
  • Solid green: The battery is charging.

  • Flashing green: The battery is almost fully charged.

If the computer is running on a battery, the about41.jpg light operates as follows:
  • Off: The battery is adequately charged (or the computer is turned off).

  • Flashing orange: The battery charge is low.

  • Solid orange: The battery charge is critically low.
Looks like the AC adaptor is faulty.

When I plug it in to charge the player, it says "docked" as usual, but then it turns itself off and acts like I've disconnected it. It says "Low Battery" and shuts down.

The zen need a full charge... if you have an ac adapter plug it in for at least eight hours. if you don't have an ac adapter plug it in via USB to a DESKTOP computer (not laptop) and try to use a differnt usb cord (creative doesn't always include a powerful enough cord to get the zen out of that low power state)

refer to creative.com/support and look up info on your model to see if anyone else has your issue

Hi Tracy!

Okay, there are a variety of reasons why this might happen but the best way to find out is to simply take out the battery but leave the AC adapter plugged in then turn on your computer.

-IF THE COMPUTER TURNS ON: then youre in luck. kinda. your new batter is a dud and you should get a free replacement from whomever you purchased it from.

-IF THE COMPUTER DOES NOT TURN ON: it is most likely the A/C cable. These can be bought online from the HP site or cheaper on Ebay. Although the AC cable is the most likely reason, please keep in mind it might also be a number of other not-quite-so-easy to fix problem.

Zen Vision M battery not charging

The problem was partially solved in that I put my old battery back in and at least it charged properly. I did receive a new battery from BatteryMill and I fitted it and left it charging for 5 hours. However, when I unplugged it to see if it had charged at all it did the low battery thing and then when I tried to recharge it the battery fully charged symbol ame up. I suspect that had I left the new battery charging for say 24 hours it might have charged fully. However, I have decided to send my batteries back and get a refund. The problem must be something to do with a battery memory problem.
