what is the code i can use on a philips dvp5990 dvd player to make it free from any region ,i just got this dvd player at best buy the sales person said that this dvd has a code i can set on the remot control to make it free regin ,he said to check googol but there is so many things and most of them it is to buy free region dvd ,is there a free gegion code out there ? thanks

Along the top of the screen click the option CODES then select Philips. I could not see you model number there. What I would suggest you do is try a code that is close to your model number.
