Mold in gasket
will using clorox degrade the gasket over time? what about using vinegar- I just discovered the mold issue- it was disgusting. I think wiping with clorox will eliminate the surface mold, but it will grow back because the mold is inside the rubber.
Coincidentally, I have the same problem with the artificial deck I installed that was also supposed to be high end, ecologically observant. All the wisdom is that clorox does not eliminate black mold where the deck is concerned.

sorry to hear it'
your right that the beoot is stained but the active mold can be fixed first make sure your boot drain is clear, its a small hole at the botom of the grey "boot"
next buy some dish detergent crystals
one empty load with 1 cup of the dish detergent
this should kill you active molds
now always dry the boot between loads with a rag or towel
its a pain but it will eliminate the problem
make sure the drazin is clear every laod
