When the paper does not feed straight, dirty or sticky rollers can cause it to jamb or crinkle, also failure to remove all traces of paper from a previous paper jamb will cause further paper jambs. Check for tiny pieces of at the edges of the rollers, and remove these pieces of paper. The rollers may be dirty or sticky and causes the paper to not feed straight. Try cleaning the rollers with methylated spirits.
Hello, these also can occure if the paper from the cassette isn't picked up or if the paper pass the cassette and exits but sensor flapper has slow response. As first step I would recommend to change the paper pick-up, feed and separation rollers in cassette.
Remove the cassette out, look inside, on inner right side you will see 3 tire rollers. Each roller has nose with plastic hinge. To remove him you need to push hinge on the nose and pull out the rooler to a side. If they are worn out they will be smooth. You can remove the rollers from the tray that works and put it into troubled one for test. If the paper jam doesn't occuress you are sure that you need new rollers.
If not I recommend to call service.Because, also the problem can be in paper lifting claw, broken gears,...

Check the proper orientation of the paper. For example, if you are loading A4 size. In your tray you can find 2 A4 size. Select A4R in you want to position your paper Landscape or A4 if portrait.
To verify also the correct paper size, put your paper on the platen glass. Markings on the two sides of the platen glass shows the correct paper size.
The JAM DUPLEX message appears if you remove a sheet of paper from
the face down output tray after only one side has printed.
The paper sizes you can use with the duplex printing function
are A4, Letter or Legal. If the paper adjustment lever for duplex printing is not set
correctly for the paper size, paper jams may occur and the printing will
be out of position on the page.

It may think there is a jam because it expected lets say a single A4 and when it shot the paper through the sheets became separated a little so it looked longer than a sheet of A4.
A real easy way on ensuring that you don't get too many of these situations is not to overload the feed tray. Also just before you put the paper in do the "desktop shuffle" separate it a little then tap the sheets back together on the table both top and side. Also never use paper that has been allowed to become damp in any way.

Sounds like something has fallen into the paper path. Use a flashlight and small mirror to look down the slot where the paper goes. You may have to use a straightened paper clip or the like to help remove the obstruction.
you copy first side normaly. then on left side open bypass deck.Put the paper, so that the side on wich you want to print is down. Automatically when you put paper in bypass, the machine ask you wich format is it ( eg. A4 ), confirm with OK, then you need to tell machine wich type of paper ( eg. plain paper ) and OK. then green copy key.
Are you living in the USA? The size A4 is the Europe size of paper to our letter size... You can try to take the paper tray out and look inside, for any paper jammed in the back of the paper tray area.
