Question about Zenith E44W46LCD 44" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

Zenith 44in Rear proj. LCD making sounds

After muting everthing I noticed a sqeaking/chirping sound from the TV. The sound was coming from the TV not the speakers. It had been on for a while. Will heat cause it to do that? Never noticed it before.

At different times while the tv is on I have noticed that I will hear a sharp crackle and then the sound goes mute. I have to adjust the volume all the way up and the sound starts to come back up. It sounds an awful lot like the cold solder problem involved with the IR circuit which reads the signal comming from the remote.

We have the sound at 100 and it still is low. Sounds like the speakers are in the back. How do I get the TV louder?

Check whether the audio is muted in full, or half muted. Enter its sound menu, and check it. If muted, as you know there will be no audio output. If not muted, check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. Vizio E371VL television powers on normally, but the audio is just a chirping sound regardless of volume setting. Muting the volume mutes the chirping.

NO SOUND

Hello
First check whether the sound is muted or not. If it is muted, release the mute. If it is not muted and still there is no sound output from the TV, its speaker may have got damaged. To check the speaker, place your ear very near to the speaker side of the TV, and switch it ON by its POWER ON/OFF switch [Not by remote control power switch]; and listen whether there is a 'thumb' sound comes from the speaker or not. If there is; the audio output IC inside had damaged and shoul be replaced. If there is no 'thumb' sound from the speaker, speaker itself is damaged and sould be replaced. If you want anymore assistance, feel free to get me by Fixya. OK.

the small speakers in the projector can't handle high volume, so the speakers may be shot.

No sound

sound is on mute or drivers for sound card are not installed, or your volume is all the way down, here is a few things to check, look down into your bottom right corner of your desktop right click your speaker sound icon, open volume mixer, make sure everthing is not muted and turned up, also go to start-settings-control panel-sounds- and make sure your sound is on.

No audio

went into setup, tv and kept hitting the mute then unmute it finally took. Not sure what was wrong with it since I had already done that several times. The two audio outputs on the side of the tv do not work like it says in the manual for surround sound. Its definitely a cheap tv.
