The most common cause of this is that the gas valve is defective, have it tested and replace it as necessary

Whirlpool dryer heats and tumbles but doesn't dry

Sounds like it is still clogged up. Is the blower running?

Kenmore ele. Dryer 110.69522800 not blowing anymore, still tumbles and heats but no exhaust being put out, help!

First, open the unit and check to see if it is clogged with lint. If the unit is tumbling, then it should blow since the belt also runs the blower. If the blower is broke, here is the new blower to order.

Tumble dryer overheating

Check and clean your lint filter. If problem persists, check the discharge of your dryer vent. A clogged dryer vents will cause abnormal heat build up in a dryer.

My Maytag atlantis MDE7600Ayw takes nearly 3 hours to dry clothes. The back silver metal grill is very hot and it still tumbles, no weird sounds. Any suggestions?

sounds like your vent is clogged or there is lint clogged around the blower wheel. Make sure to check outside where it comes out and be sure all the exaust tubing is free of lint clogs.

The heating element is working on high heat and clothes are tumbling but after several cycles the clothes aren't dry. The lint trap has been cleaned out. Suggestions?

the ducting is clogged or at least partially clogged (most likely at an elbow).
Also check the vent itself where it exits the home for bird nests etc.
Lowes sells a nice kit for cleaning vents in the plumbing department. I have
used it and it works well. Please note that the dryer may also be clogged
inside just below the lint filter inside the door or if it has a top mounted
lint filter it would be the blower stack located in the back of the machine
Remember to shut off breakers before performing any service to the machine.

My dryer isnt heating properly

two quick checks are 1st to reset the double pole breaker, sometimes 1 leg trips which allows the dryer to still tumble but with little or no heat. A second cause is a clogged vent system, be sure vent is not clogged with lint. If both of these steps check ok, then you are propbably dealing with the thermostat or heating element itself

Hello, I've got a Kenmore 80 series dryer Model: 110. 96584110 that is tumbling but not heating. What would you recommend as a next step short of buying a new dryer. Should I change the heating element and...

Check for lint clogging first. Pull the unit away from the wall and look to see if there is an excessive build up of lint at or near the discharge vent or into the vent line. Clean as needed. If it's really clogged you may have to remove the back cover.

If no joy, then check for a bad thermostat. There should be two. They are located on the discharge vent near the dryer exhaust blower. You will have to remove the back cover of the dryer to get to them. Check the stats for continuity. MAKE SURE the power is off before working on the dryer.

It's much more likely to be on of the two items listed above, but if the dryer isn't clogged and the stats are both good, check the heating element.

My dyer heats and tumbles, but doesn't dry

I'd check first for clogged vent hose or clogged lint filter or clogged vent flap on wall (outside).

If that's not a problem, it may be a faulty thermostat. Heating element is probably okay if it heats some of the time.

More info, let me know.

Not drying clothes

If the unit is heating properly which it should pull around 25 amps when heating , and the unit is tumbling it is 100% an exhaust issue , either a kinked duct behind the unit , a ball of lint stuck in the duct , lint build up outside in vent , or water in under ground duct. If you find the clog it will be FIXED!
Let me know if you have any other questions.
