The printwheel is not snapped in properly and going to it's home position. . Keep trying..it will spin to its home position when installed properly, providing its not broken or bent.

I can't correct my password and get into my computer--

keyboard layout is as follows.

TOP ROW: QWERTYUIOP
MIDDLE ROW: ASDFGHJKL
BOTTOM ROW:ZXCVBNM

If you're saying you just can't see the keyboard keys, that should help. If it doesn't, I suggest getting a hold of a USB keyboard other than the malfunctioning one you have now.

My Brother ML100 is not printing what I type

Hammer sticking and typing incorrect letters (and or skipping letters): 1) make sure daisy wheel installed correctly. 2) hold down CODE key & Q (RESET) to reset wheel...if still not corrected 3) WD40 the hammer at the base & joints where moving parts are, keep typing until oil seeps in (this last one fixed it for me)

Typing light and inconsistant-top part of letter okay but bottom too light or not there: to left of hammer (at base) are 2 screws, I losened them and adjusted hammer to different forward and backward spots..finally found the ideal location where full letter printed and had the correct force it needed to print correctly.

Perhaps the printwheel is in backwards the letters must face the paper.

When typing wrong letters and numbers type

You might have a "proportional space" printwheel but the pitch selector is on 10, 12, or 15 instead of PS. OR it is on PS but you have a normal print wheel. Try selecting different pitches. Another thing that causes that problem is sometimes the ribbon or correction tape gets caught in the printwheel.

Its not typing the correct letter. When you type. U can hit letter ''t'' and may type a ? mark.

if turning off for 20 seconds doesn't fix it look closely at the spokes and letters on the daisy wheel for bent or broken spokes or letters. replace daisy wheel if bent or broken about $35.00.

The keys don't type the correct letter

Loosen the screws that hold the silver guide, one on each side of the carriage. Adjust to touch platen with 2 sheets of paper installed. When you reset next time it will reset to the right letters.

Wong letters & numbers

I downloaded the manual from http://www.devicemanuals.com/downloadguide.php and then, following the instructions there, I removed then re-inserted the daisy wheel. This solved my problem. Perhaps it had somehow gotten out of adjustment. At least, it is something to try if you haven't tried it already.

The letters i type do not come out- they're other symbols

If you turn off and on and it types the proper letters at first then types gibberish look at the printwheel for bent spokes or other damage, then check to be sure tou have the proper correction tape (DRY).

Hope this helps
