It sounds as if it needs a numeric keypad. this is a common problem. unless it hasn't been in contact with liquid of physical damage, then it should be done under warranty.
you should take the phone to a repair centre or place of purchase and it should be free.
hope this helps...

How do i fix my moms old flip prepaid tracfone text mess to type ;etters

Hello -

Apparently you do not have the user's manual for the phone.

This is a link to the manual (PDF format - Adobe Acrobat Reader software - free) for your model of cell phone:
https://d28dq596ebml6z.cloudfront.net/media/wysiwyg/att-z223/AT_T_Z223_User_Guide_English_-_PDF_-_8.43MB_.pdf
Note: The instructions are from AT&T, but are the same for the Tracfone.

The instructions for entering text begins on page 11 (image 9) of the instructions.

When you are in the messaging option (the envelope icon), and have chosen Create New Message, look at the white rectangle near the top right of the screen. To change from digits to letters (which will display in that small white rectangle), press the # key (lowest left corner of the key pad.)

You should then see a pop-up window offering you choices of letters (capitals only, capital followed by lower case, lower case only), digits, etc. Use the Up and Down navigation buttons to move to your choice for input and then press OK button (in the middle of the 4 navigation keys.)

Best wishes.

My son locked the tablet and dont know the password

You need to do a factory reset, follow these instructions:

Step 1. With your tablet turned off, press and hold the volume up (+) button. While holding the volume up (+) button, press the tablet's power button until you see the RCA logo with Nipper and Chipper on the screen. After a few seconds, the screen will change and you will see the Android bot on his back with a caution symbol above him.

Step 2. Now you are going to press and hold the tablet's power button, and without releasing the power button press down on the volume up (+) button. You should then see the screen below.

Step 3. Use the tablet's volume up (+) and down (+) keys to navigate to and select the "wipe data/factory reset" option. To select this option, press the power button.

Step 4. The tablet is going to ask you to confirm your selection. Use the tablet's volume up (+) and down (-) keys to navigate to and select "Yes - delete all user data." Once again, use the power button to select this option.

Step 5. At the bottom of the next screen, you will see "Data wipe complete." Press the power button to restart the system.

My mouse pad doesent work

Locate the function key on your keyboard (F1 through F12) that has an icon of a touchpad. This is often a rectangle with two smaller rectangles below it, representing the touchpad and its two buttons.

Press and hold the "Fn" key, usually found in the lower left area of your keyboard.

Press the touchpad function key and then release both keys.

If this does not enable your touchpad, try holding the "Fn" key down and pressing the touchpad function key twice in a row.

Shortcut Key Method

Press the Windows icon key on your keyboard and hold it down until the Start menu pops up. If your keyboard doesn't have a Windows icon, press "Ctrl-Esc" at the same time.

Use your arrow keys to locate the Control Panel and press "Enter."

Navigate to "Mouse" with your arrow keys and press "Enter" to open the mouse control dialog box. Then, press "Alt-F" together to access the tabs at the top of this box.

Navigate using the arrow keys to "Device Settings" or "Touchpad" or the similar option on your system and press "Enter."

Press the "Tab" key until the "Enable" option or a check box next to it highlights and then press "Enter." Press "Tab" again until you are highlighting "OK," and press "Enter."

A black rectangle appears in the bottom half of the screen. The rest of the picture is fine, the sound is fine. The box goes away if i press the menu button - but it comes back again. What is wrong?

Do you have a cable/satellite box connected to this tv?

Try this first it sounds like you have the closed caption turned on by accident.
On the remote press the MENU button.
Use the navigation keys to move the selector to CC and press OK.
This should bring up the Closed Caption sub menu.
Ensure that the closed caption is set to OFF

Thanks,
Robert

I need step by step instrucations on how to do fractions on casio fx-115es

You have a key that is marked with two rectangles separated by a horizontal bar. This symbolises a fraction.
In MathIO, pressing the key displays the template of a two-level fraction. You are supposed to use the navigation keys to move cursor to the top rectangle to enter the numerator. Then you use the Down Nav key to move cursor to the rectangle in denominator and enter the denominator.

Blach rectangle bottom halfpart of screen

Salutations bachiche13,

It sounds like your "Text" feature of your closed captioning may be activated. It sounds like what you would want to do is go in to your television menu and select CC or Closed Captioning to mute or off.

Hope this helps.
