HELLO , I DO NOT THINK IT'S A BAD PUMP , BECAUSE IT FAILED SO SUDDENLY, LIKE ONE TIME PRESSURE FELL & THEN CAME BACK , BUT NOW IT'S GONE , PRESSURE WON'T COME BACK UP NOW.

SOURCE: I HAVE A BRAND NEW TROY-BUILT 2600PSI pressure

Sounds like the governor is stuck. My pressure washer speeds up when it has to pump. Don't know if yours uses vacuum to trigger governor or direct linkage. Good Luck.

Hi:
The first thing i would do is be sure there is not a partial blockage in the nozzle.

SOURCE: Power washer loses pressure. Engine runs fine.

Your bypass valve is jamming. All you do is take it out, put a smear of o ring grease around the o rings then put back in, make sure you push it all the way in and should fix the problem.

SOURCE: EXCELL VR2500 power washer runs and then stops

I had the very same problem and nobody could help me until I was talking with a co-worker. Its a very easy fix. I couldn't believe it. I did this yesterday and it ran like a charm. You can either replace the head gasket or just by a good sealer to use on your existing gasket or replace it. I use Indian head gasket sealer on mine. The bolts on the bottom were lose causing a loss of compression. If you need more info you can email me (for free) and I will tell you exactly how to do it. Agr8flson@aol.com

Why does it build pressure, but when I squeeze the trigger the engine stays at idle?

POSSIBLE this look picture hose coupling with water stop put on the tap side or lime in valves after long time or a nozzle with dirt close beaten
clogged nozzle on the lance

Bypass not working (lyme)
if you disconnect the lance and the handle grip is giving enough water and water comes out then the nozzle clean it with a little paperclip.25944841-me02dbjx1ofpduv3i0g3gg4u-5-0.jpg

The engine cuts off when i squeeze the handle on the sprayer, what is causing this to happen?

Sounds like a bad unloader valve. Do a search on "pressure washer unloader valve symptoms". When they are faulty there will either be little pressure or it will stop an engine abruptly. The engine will not just die down as it you were turning it off. It would stop cold.

Craftsman 580 767101 when i squeeze the handle pressure it loses pressure. If i squeeze i get a burst of pressure, it then fades out. Relese the handle and squezze i get another burst

Sounds like the inlet water source may be blocked. When you hold the trigger open, water should flow freely. If this is not the problem, it may be that the pump seals are going bad.

it sounds like a flow switch that is installed in the inlet of pump can get stuck at times if you have a soap nozzle select it usually more flow moves the flow switch try and clean the flow switch if possible.

Gas engine will not start without pulling trigger on wand to relieve pressure-engine dies when letting off trigger

I am afraid that is how they work even electric ones wont start unless you squeeze the trigger ,once they are running you should be ablr to release the trigger , and then squeeze it again whilst running . if yours dies when you release the trgger while motor is running -----good chance you are working at too high pressure. but to start you have to release all the internal pressure
