Out of color ink; won't print black and white.

The printer will need the colour ink to be replaced otherwise it will not print at all. You can try pressing the Start/Reset button but this will most likely not work and the only way forward is to have a colour cartridge with ink in it even though you may never use it!

if you color cartridage is empty, don't remove it leave it in or the machine won't work.
in some printers there is an option to print grayscale.
(black and white) after you have a document to print.
click on advantce, or preferences. and the option is right there..

in other cases the printer will refuse to print even if the black is full.it goes model by model.
