Hi,

The unit may have a paper jam or stuck object inside, if you have experience a paper jam error before, check the printer for any object or paper stuck inside, clean roller.

Some error like this can be a problem on the feeder sensor and by this time you may need to replace and repair the unit.

Hope this initial info helps

Somewhere in the paper path a switch or sensor has either been damaged. The other possibility is that there is a small piece of paper or other foreign material covering the sensor or leaving the switch closed. The sensors and switches are there to let the printer know that a piece of paper is in the path so that it doesn't try to send out more that one page at a time. If you are familiar enough with the printer you can open up the top and side covers and inspect the path. If you do not see any foreign material in the paper path You can also try and gently blow it out with compressed air. If that fails to resolve your issue you will have to take it to an authorized repair center.

just follow the set of procedures HP recommends for clearing a paper jam, and it should work again. They have some documentation and videos online, here is one of them

Disconnect the "data" cable between the printer and your computer.
Turn the printer on.
If the light still flashes, you have a "paper jam".
If you cannot "clear" it yourself, take the printer to a qualified technician, for servicing.

On your computer:
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Printers
Double-click the icon for your printer.
Click on the "suspended" (or "active") print-job, to "select" it.
Right-mouse-click on the print-job, and choose "cancel".

Paper feed button flashing

Check your user manual for resetting the printer to factory default settings.

If that doesn't work, unplug your printer from the computer and uninstall your software through Add/Remove Hardware. Shut down your computer and reboot. Reinstall your printer software, following the instructions carefully.

This should clear up your problem.
Let me know if you still are having problems. :)

Power light flashes and won't let me print - HP3650 no paper jam

Go into your control panel, go to your printer, right click it, then choose "Cancel all print jobs". You may also have to uncheck the "Pause Printing" function.
If all else fails, get the cd. remove the printer and reinstall the software after shutting the printer down and start from scratch just like it was new. If neither of those solve it, go to http://www.hp.com and download your owners manual. There you will find a troubleshooting section that will help walk you through what to do. Hope that helps.

Printer stopped working after I cancelled a print job

Turn off your printer and completely unplug the USB cable (from both the printer and the computer). Next check if the stopped document or the later documents are in the print spooler queue. If you can cancel all documents from the queue, do so. Otherwise: from Start Run (or the command prompt)
type: net stop spooler [enter]
then type: net start spooler [enter]

This works in XP and older MS Operating Systems but I've never tried it in Vista.

If you only enter the first command, you need to reboot the computer and then take a long coffee break after logging in before trying to print again.

Not printing and nothing is paused or on the print list.

First of all you must let canceled print jobs finish deleting before sending new jobs, if the job is taking too long try restarting the computer with the printer on to clear the jobs this usually works if not then after restart open the printers folder and cancel all jobs here. let them finish deleting while the printer is still on (they must remain in communication during deleting jobs. Once all jobs are gone, remove the power brick from the printer for about a minute then reinsert and let the printer start up if it doesn't after a minute or so just turn it on once it finishes then try printing again.
