The first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for maybe an hour.

Since FixYa is not currently notifying us Experts when Clarification Requests are answered, you will need to post a NEW help request.

I
n your new post, please include your brand name and the full model number from the tag in or on the unit, your symptoms, as well as the answers to these questions:

- How long does it run (in seconds) before this happens?

- Is it consistent or random?

- Is there an error code on the display when it fails?

Panasonic NN-SD297 shuts off after 15 sec and refers me to the operating manual. What's wrong?

Don't believe it's anything you can repair if you don't have some knowledge about Microweves and doubt that manual can enlighten you. Your device is defective and should be repaired by an competent microwave technician.

I have microwave Bosch its shuting down few seconds.. I replaced magnetron . Inverter still shuting down then I decided to replaced relay board nothing happen... I've called Bosch about this they...

Your inverter board is the problem, those cheap panasonic mags they use now short the diodes on the inverter board. Inverter technology is neat but does not work for very long. I order both the mag and inverter together on those everytime

Magnetron replaced. Message: "refer to ops instructions." ???

If it was done by a repair place just take it back and read the riot act to them. Thats NOT acceptable. If you did it yourself, I would guess it wasn't just the magnetron, probably high power diode and other things too.

Cuts out after 17 seconds and screen says 'refer to operating instructions'. But nothing in booklet describes problem.

Are you sure it isn't 22 seconds? If so, the 22 seconds is the giveaway.

In most cases, this is a problem with the inverter or a bad magnetron.

Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.

I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer.

We're happy to help you and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

IF IT IS THE KEYPAD THAT IS LOCKED, ONE OF THE TOUCH PADS SHOULD BE HELD FOR 5 SECONDS TO UNLOCK THE
TOUCH CONTROL.YOUR INSRTUCTION MANUAL WILL TELL
YOU WHICH PAD TO HOLD. IF NOT AVAILABLE, TRY EACH PAD, ONE AT A TIME. HOLD EACH PAD FOR 5 SECONDS.
IF NO RESPONSE, TRY THE NEXT ONE. WHEN YOU FIND THE ONE THAT UNLOCKS THE CONTROL, WRITE IT DOWN
FOR FUTURE REFERENCE. THAT PAD WILL ALSO LOCK THE CONTROL WHEN HELD FOR 5 SECONDS.

Can't get past the "welcome" message.

Go to the page in the owners manual to set the clock first. Thats always the first thing to do. Good Luck
