Some laptops have a small round button on the front or a Function F3 key which acts a toggle, even though the drivers are installed, like this Evesham Latop.

Check to see if there is a light flashing some don't have this light (note its not the HDD spinning light)

This button is separate to the drivers they can be working fine, it like a tap and if you close it no signal can be sent to the router. And hence no connection to the internet.

You also need to make sure that the windows own service WZCSVC is stopped if you are using the NIC own software to input your WEP key for secure connection

Disable the service here using this tweak it can cause you problems.

Hi i Have a Lenovo 3000 N200 769 laptop. I reinstalled Vista. I cannot acces the internet (ethernet and wireless wont work) I tried installing the drivers but it won't work I do not even see the...

Go into Device Manager and Disable/remove the ethernet. Then reboot and let it detect it as a new device then put the driver in for it. Then do the same for the wireless. It should have picked it up when you reinstalled Vista but sounds like something glitched. If you have something else to get online with you might want to go to Lenovo's site under Support and download the drivers you'll be needing and have them ready to install.

Reg: WIFI drivers not getting installed

You need to check first if the wireless switch is turn on.If it is on, check the function key for the wireless. Some computers have function key. Sometimes it is combination of fn and f5. Press those keys at the same time and you should see a pop up window and check if the current status is on. If it is on, uninstall/reinstall the wireless driver in device manager. go to programs and features and look for lenovo readycom, uninstall the software and restart your computer. If this didn't work. You need to do re installation of your operating system.

Im running vista and wireless is installed but not

is this on a lap top? cos it is possible to turn of its wifi accidently, usually sorted by pressing fn (function) and whichever number key has the little wifi icon on it, should also be a light somwhere indicating that its on/off. hope this helps.

Prob to get wireless internet connection of lenevo 3000 N100

Hmmm 3000 N100 comes by default with the Intel wireless 3945abg. There is a problem with the XP driver that you can grab off their website I fear, that is probably why it worked in vista, but not in xp. Had a lot of users coming to me with this issue

Try replacing your driver with this driver:

http://www.driversdown.com/drivers/Lenovo-3000-N100-Notebook-Intel-wireless-3945abg-driver-10.5.1.59-Windows-XP_79954.shtml

That one should be the most up to date driver. Please get back to me if this resolved the issue or not. If not, then tell me if you see even the available wireless networks or not at all. Does the network card show up fine in the device manager or do you got any marks on it like a red cross or a question mark?

If the solution helped, please rate me. :)

Compatibility between linksys WRT54G Router and Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Driver

from what you say, it sounds as if you have your wired and wireless card connected at the same time. This will confuse the router as it is trying to give two different ip addresses to the one pc, which it cannot do. If you are using the wireless adapter, make sure you dissable the wired adapter as the router will continually look for the wired ip address while allocating your wireless adapter causing instability. Next ensure you have a good clear signal from router to notebook as this can obviously cause problems. Lastly ensure that the wireless cards TCP/IP properties are set to obtain ip address automatically, especially if your router is DHCP enabled to allocate ip addresses automatically.
