Question about Computers & Internet
Lenovo 3000 y500 wireless in vista is installed correctly with its drivers but not picking up wireless connections and it appears disabled even if u try and enable it just stay disabled! I rolled back drivers ad changed wireless cards but its still the same!
Some laptops have a small round button on the front or a Function F3 key which acts a toggle, even though the drivers are installed, like this Evesham Latop.
Check to see if there is a light flashing some don't have this light (note its not the HDD spinning light)
This button is separate to the drivers they can be working fine, it like a tap and if you close it no signal can be sent to the router. And hence no connection to the internet.
You also need to make sure that the windows own service WZCSVC is stopped if you are using the NIC own software to input your WEP key for secure connection
Disable the service here using this tweak it can cause you problems.
