If noise stops when you put youre hand on bottom panel(vibration) then it will probably need a new drain pump as they wear out they can become noisy and make the panel buzz.

My new Maytag Bravos HE top load MVWX500XW vibrates during spin, is this normal?

from the way you describe the issue it sounds normal, all washers vibrate at least a little or alot (depending on the balance or unbalance of the load) if it is just vibrating and not making a grinding or scraping noise it is fine, if its vibrating too much for your like, try to rebalance your load.

Hello Mike

Those cotter pins with the shield over them were part of the shipping braces from when it left the factory and they do have no bearing on the suspension system.

What most likely thats causing it to vibrate so badly are the cresent shaped plastic peices that fit between the plates under the outer tub,Their is 2 types of those on the washer one fits under the bottom plate and one fits on the top of the bottom plate andin between the upper and lower plate. They are impregnated with teflon and have worn out so instead of the plates sliding free the are grinding against each other

Those parts are called suspension pads, the part number for them is 285744 &285219 they can be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at

This link shows where they are they are item numbers 13&15

When i turn power button on ,it sounds like grinding metal ,very loud vibrating noise.

sounds like the bearings. make sure machine is off open door put your hand at the front of the drum at the top then see if you can lift it up and down if there is alot of movement it will most likely be the bearings,or try turning the drum by hand to see if you can feel any vibration or hear any grinding noise.

Krups kp 2000 water leak

I had the same thing happen. It turned out that the rubber hose connecting the water reservoir to the heating element had disconnected, probably due to grinding vibration. I found a triangular screw driver to open the coffee maker up at MicroCenter:
After removing the bottom of the coffee maker, the repair took 1 minute and it is brewing coffee again like new!

Vibration of the wash mashine

How old is the machine? Have transit bolts been removed? Older machine is possible bearing failure or spider breakage( a 1 in 10 wash with a temperature of 95 degrees celcius will extend life of a front loader!- an empty wash or towels or sheets at this temperature). A grinding noise can simply be a worn drive belt, rotating drum by hand and finding grinding and lateral movement equals bearing/spider failure. Also a simple case of Underlaoding the machine will cause unbalanced load and vibration.

I have a 12 cup cusinart grind & brew. The hopper is not working

You may have to clean the grinder....even more. That happened to me once. First I cleaned out the coffeemaker with the brush, and "dug" out more coffee, then I used this product which you can find on Amazon: "Urnex Grindz Coffee Grinder Cleaner - Urnex 17-GRINDZ12-40." It's expensive, but it really worked well.
