I recently found that my xbox couldn't connect to xbox live so I called the xbox support line (UK) yesterday and the support person took me through many steps to trying to get it to reconnect which...

I would like you to power cycle your network equipment, once more, as suggested up front and, also, clear the Xbox system cache 3 times in a row. Here we go!
Power off your network equipment (modem and router) for 5 minutes. Power on the modem and wait one minute for it to connect properly. Power on the router and wait another minute. Power on the Xbox and go to Xbox network settings. Select Configure Network and slide to the Additional Settings tab. Select Restore network settings to factory defaults. If wireless, reconfigure Xbox wireless settings. If wired, Press "B" on your controller and select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

Clear Xbox system cache
  1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
  2. Select Storage or Memory.
  3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.
  4. Select Clear System Cache.
  5. Clear your Xbox system cache 3 times in row.

Restart your console.

Try download your profile from LIVE.

How do i setup xbox live

First you need to configure you wirless setup with the xbox by accsessing the menu on the xbox console. I dont know who you wirelss provider is or if you even have wireless so im going at this kinda blind. Setting it up can be kinda of trick but not impossible. It may ask you for a network identification code or a network key ect. You must have that in order to configure your xbox to your wireless network. After that it should be smooth sailing.. Now assuming your wirless configuration is a basic wirless router in your home you can also go out from it with an ethernet cable to the xbox but thats a last resort...anyways i hope i was of some help to ya.

I accidentally configured my 120 gb xbox hard drive and now it won't read

ok configured it with another format??? or configured it within the xbox console?? if you have copyed games loaded to your hard drive before and you have xbox live and updated then you no longer can play games straight from the hard drive but if you mean its just not working get a sata to usb cable connect it too your laptop/pc and format it into fat32 and then configure it again within the xbox if that dosnt work its because the hard drive is corrupted visit my website google it
please leave gr8 feedback though for me as its important because i dont get paid for doing this so i think its fair to at least give me good feedback so i can carry on helping people with there problems ive helped over 120 people and only 6 gave me feedback so its important to me please help me to help you.

How do I hook up the WIFI for the xbox if all I have for a computer is a netbook with a wireless router.

If your NetBook has been configured to interface with the wireless router, then use the same SSID and password to configure the XBOX to connect to the wireless router.

E 68 error....will transfer cable help fix it?

The E68 is a weird error. Its normally from a hard drive failure. The underground xbox 360 scene says

THe E68 is a Hard Drive Error. The Hard drive is not properly configured: It could be a problem with the Hard Drive itself or a problem with the internal connection to the hard drive, Try removing the hard drive and playing without it.

If the xbox can play without the hard drive then this error can be caused by a problem with the fans that make them draw too much power, it can also be caused if you have unnecessary accessories attached to the console like an external fan unit. Attempt to remove unnecessary accessories first, and then necessary components such as the hard drive and USB devices.

If its the hard drive or your console causing the problems contact Microsoft they will probably fix your hard drive and maybe recover your game saves. On the newest games that info is stored on xbox live.

All i need is a wireless router and an adapter right?

If your router is protected by password you need to configure it but the only equipment you need is the router, the adapter and a provider.
