Question about LG Computers & Internet
Just got a LG W61 monitor. It worked last night, this morning when I started it, it shut off and went into powersaver mode in 20 seconds and won't come back up unless I crash my system. Have verified the PwrSv settings and BIOS.
Trromig, I really don't think it's in powersave mode. I think that your CCFLamps are turning OFF because the Switch-mode-power-supply/Inverter supply is going into SHUTDOWN MODE after detecting a FAULT condition. First thing to do is visit YOUTUBE and search out long 8-12min video clips of LCD monitor disassembly and or LCD repair. If you are now using your pc with a swapped in monitor to do this FIXYA type thing, then you know it's not the PC that could be the problem! It's the LCD! One thing you failed to mention was the AGE and approximate total "ON" hours your Lucky Goldstar W61 has on it. It helps to know that information in diagnosing the cause of failure. Is the unit still covered by warranty? We here at fixya need to know these things to give you advice on all the options you have. Get back to me on fixya or e mail lmistyrel @ aol.com Bye for now. I'm louie12fix on fixya

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
