I quote from Radio Shack:
Follow these steps to connect the equalizer to your audio system. CAUTIONS: Use only shielded audio cable with RCA-type connectors (not supplied). This type of cable is available at your local RadioShack store. Before you connect the equalizer, turn off all components in your audio system and unplug their power cords. Before you plug in the equalizer's power cord, complete all connections and be sure the equalizer's POWER button is out. 1. To connect the equalizer to your receiver, connect the receiver's TAPE OUT jacks to the equalizer's MAIN IN jacks. Then, connect the equalizer's MAIN OUT jacks to your receiver's TAPE IN or TAPE MONITOR jacks. 2. You can connect a tape deck to each set of tape jacks (TAPE 1 and TAPE 2) on the back of the equalizer. To connect each tape deck, connect the equalizer's TAPE OUT jacks to the tape deck's in jacks. Then, connect the tape deck's out jacks to the equalizer's TAPE IN jacks. 3. Plug the equalizer's power cord into your receiver's switched power outlet or any standard AC outlet. WARNING: The equalizer's power cord has a polarized plug. To prevent electric shock, do not use an extension cord or other receptacle unless you can fully and easily insert the plug's blades. 4. Connect the power cords of all other components. See also;

Hooking up EQ to RECIEVER for a TECHNICS MODEL SH-8017

You'll need 4 connections total. On my integrated amp, I connected the four connections to all Line In and Line Out ports. And the other ends into the tape 2/EXTRA ports respectively.

I have a Pioneer VSX-D308 reciever and I have a EQ. How do I hook it up to this reciever?

I only know of one way to do this and here it is:

1. Plug your tape deck's output (cassette or R2R) into the EQ's "Line In".
2. Plug the EQ's "Line Out" into the Receiver's "Tape 1 Input".
3. Now plug the Receivers "Tape 1 Output" into the Tape Player's "Line In".
4. You have now made an "FX loop" for the Tape Deck. Now you just have to put the Tape Deck on "Tape Monitor".....put the Receiver on "FM"..... and turn on your favorite FM station and you will hear the FM Receiver THROUGH the tape deck's "Monitor Send" AND the EQ.............set EQ to taste....... and BINGO.......DONE!

I have qsc amplphier and a behringer eurorack and trying to hook up 532e Graphic EQ to it, how please? Not sure of what I can get away with far as cords go and where do i connect it?

you have to use a tape monitor record in and out connections ( RCA )
it will require two sets of rca jacks ( left and right) (eq in to record out on reciever tape monitor / eq out to reciever in record on tape monitor )

CONNECTING

you can do it passive. no idea with your ampli, but if it does have a bridge then you can hook your eq there, series. if it doesn't have then via tape monitor 2 of your kenwood.

onkyo recvr tape 2 record to - kenwood eq in
onyo recvr tape 2 playback - kenwood eq out

that's all. if you want your eq to be active, then switch your reciever to tape2, all selected input in your reciever will by pass through your eq then back to kenwood. you dont have a function for tape 2 input then but your eq will have an extra input for tape, that you can use for your second tape, it will be active only if your reciever is set to tape 2. i hope you got it right.

post back if you got it done
