No sound

When camera is set on movie mode the screen says Record movie with sound but when you play back there is no sound. I haven't downloaded to the computer but assumed you would have sound on camera. Anyone know? the book says nothing about this.

I do have sound when downloaded on the camera. It is a brand new camera so I will check to see if speaker is bad or they are just made this way. Thenks for your help

um, there isn't a speaker on this model of camera.
That's why you only hear the sound on your clips when you have them on your computer.

there are no speakers on the camera so are you trying to play it back threw the computer or the camera?

Guruwell first try to download to computer or try memory stick on another sony to see if your recordings have sound..If there is sound on computer or other camera from recording..Then camera might have a bad speaker.If it does not have sound when tried on another camera or comp..Then microphone and or audio section on board inside camera are bad..
