Question about Asrock P4i65GV Motherboard

New MB fits

I put a ASRock P4i65G in my compaq. Its up and running but, when it starts up I get a F2, F11 code. I had to buy another Windows XP home CD. I'm getting ahead of myself. I then punch the F11, it goes to a screen that asks me to make a selection of the following, flopy, cd, dvd. I have to do a ctrl/alt/del, to go to a screen asking for a F2, F11, I chose the F11 again, this time it gives me the hard drive for a option, click on it an it goes to the next screen which is the windows XP choice, and then we come to my next problem. In the process of triing to get this thing up I now have three choices of win/XP the orginal (could not find my oem cd to start with), plus the first time I triied to download the win/XP. Thank in advance, earl.

Re: new MB fits

Earl, it is hard to understand from your post what is the problem?

Are you stack in a black screen with white text showing F2 and F11 or are you able to get pass that, get 3 boot options able start windows and want to remove the operating system boot option screen?

Sometimes the drivers for Windows XP works on Windows 7, but not all the time. If it doesn't try this:
Once downloaded, Right click on the ZIP file and choose Extract All...
Once extracted, Right click on the Setup file and choose 'Troubleshoot Compatibility'.
Your driver should then load in Compatibility Mode.

If you've recently added or tried to add additional memory to the computer and have started getting these beeps. Remove all new memory you've added to the computer. If the computer works fine after removing the new memory you're encountering either an incompatibility or defective new memory.

The fault could also be: power supply, or bad capacitors on the mainboard.
