Check the water valve controlling water into your washer. For sure, this is close. Find out if this is
controlled by electrically operated valve or mechanically operated valve. For electrically operated, check the wiring going to the switch or power button, if this is still connected. For mechanically operated, check if the linkage connecting the valve is still in place.

The first thing to check is the water inlet valve. Unplug the machine, turn off the water, and remove the supply hoses. Check the small metal screens inside the opening on the water inlet valve and make sure they are clear of rust or debris. Check the solenoids using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Test for continuity. A lack of continuity will mean a bad solenoid and the valve will need replaced.
If the inlet valve checks out alright, then the next place to look would be a malfunctioning water level/pressure switch. It is a diaphragm like device with a small plastic tube attached between the switch and the bottom of the washer's outer tub. Make sure there are no obstructions in or damage to the plastic tube. The switch can be tested for continuity in the same manner as the water inlet valve solenoids. Really sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.

Hi, I have a LG Tromm WD-14331AD. At the start of the wash cycle, water will dispense, but not a lot. When spinning, there is hardly any water in the drum and water just stops dispensing.

A front loader only uses a very small amt of water. That's the point of front loaders. Make sure u only use a very small amt of detergent also. And use white vinegar in place of fabric softener. If washer is slow to fill you can check the filters in the supply lines. Take the water lines off the back of the washer and check the filters in the washer

LG Top Loader Fuzzy Logic 5.5. The water

Hi,
No you just need to get the drain hose up higher...the water is siphoning out and is either caused by the end of the drain hose still in water and not having an air gap or the hose is not going up higher then the top of your washer...
Lifting the hose up should give you an air gap and get the hose high enough to stop the siphoning...

I have a maytag front loader and the start button does on stay on, therefore door button will not stay on to lock door. I have to hold button in so that washer will start filling up with water but then...

This sounds like a motor control or a main control board problem. If this is a older washer, but less than 10 years old, that hasn't been updated with a new motor and control board assembly, the parts may be covered under the motor warranty. You need to call a qualified service tech to determine if this is the case.

At least on our GE front loader it is ok. That's why they are so easy on water.

The pressure switch is likely to blame. Change it.

You either have a defective pressure switch or water inlet valve. Start to fill the machine with warm water so that both solenoids on the water inlet valve (hot and cold) are activated. After about 30-60 seconds, push the timer knob in to stop water flow. If the water continues to flow, replace the water inlet valve. If this is the case, it may take a few times of starting and stopping water flow to allow solenoid to heat up and become symptomatic. If water flow stops abruptly each time knob is pushed in, you most likely have a defective pressure switch (water level switch).

Kenmore front loader trouble

If it is shutting off after a few seconds is the washer filling with water. If not you may need a water valve. If it fills with water then stops you may have a bad control and $350.00 is not really to bad for that repair. Besides if he is wrong he is stuck with the part not you. If he is correct then your washer is fixed and $350 is alot better than $1200.00 for a new one, so check that water and good luck to you. Mike
