After instalIing Office 2007 in my new PC, the Outlook Express is showing to have only French Dictionary. Kindly advise how can I import English Dictionary in the Outlook or use Word's English Dictionary...

All you would need to do is download a spellcheck software and install it. By installing this software it will change all the default dictionary languages to english, at which point it will allow you to start using spellcheck in english.

1.Download this file www.snapfiles.com/download/dlspelloe.html
2.Once you have downloaded the software, double-click on the file and continue with the setup 3.Once that is complete, restart your computer.
4.Now test it out and you should have your spellcheck back up and running

Fixing the dictionary in outlook express

If you just recently upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007, and you use Outlook Express you may have noticed that your dictionary for your spellchecker will only work for French. seems that the dictionaries included in office 2007 will not support Outlook Express 6, to get your dictionary back to where it will check your English or Spanish E-mail what you need to do is to run an earlier Office versions setup in custom install mode and selecting the module dealing with the dictionary.

ex. I used Frontpage 2003 and ran the custom install making sure that the dictionary was active. When I went ran Outlook express next and checked under options the selected spellchecker was in English.

Outlook Express - I am trying to change the spell check from French to English?

You need to change the dictionary in office. You can do this under Tools in Word clicking on Spelling and grammar when the options box opens up choose dictionary language and select English. This shoud reset it for all your office programs as your default. However, If you what to change Outlook only, Open Outlook and select tools, Options, Spelling, spelling and autocorrection and custom dictionaries to make a selection

Spell check windows xp home edition

The spell checker usually comes fro Microsoft Office. If you do not have Office or you have Office 2007 you can download Spell Checker For OE 2.1 from the Microsoft site. My guess is you found the spellcecker in Outlook Express is in French. Spell Checker For OE 2.1 is not a Microsoft product but it works well for outlook Express and is free.

After downloading a trail we have problems with outlook express

The version you first downloaded was a trial version. After 60 days, it stops working. Also during the 60 day trial, the program keeps asking you for the product key because they want you to purchase that version. If you do, you will only need to purchase a product to put in and away you go. The program is already installed from the 60sday trial.

The Standard version comes with Outlook, not Outlook express. The Student & Home version does not come with outlook. You can download outlook express 6.0 at this link: http://www.tucows.com/preview/194179 and install for free.

Outlook Express spell check

Outlook express does not have its own spell checker, it relies on the one installed with MS Office. Unfortunately the one that comes with Office 2007 is no longer compatible with Outlook. At present there is no solution except to install third party spell ckeck software.

Microsoft covers this here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974

Office Home and Student 2007 @ $150

Where did you purchase the software from? Many stores as well as larger online retailers offer price protection, usually for 30 days. You will have to contact they retailer directly to ask about their policies.

Also, in which specific programs are you attempting to use spell check? Office 2007 does include dictionaries for spell checking, but they are not compatible with Outlook Express. Spell checking should be available within the Office 2007 applications. If it is not, go to your Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs and Modify your Office 2007 installation. You will need to install the English proofing tools.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Outlook Express wrong language

You have to install a dictionary. Go search for a dictionary and install it. Sometimes the dictionary with Office 2007 will not work with Outlook Express. I use to do support for Office.
