SOURCE: Frigidaire Electric Range error code

Hi jacksmdmat,
Your f30 problem may be a bad sensor circuit. It may have an open connection or just plain defective sensor. Check the connection between the clock and the sensor as well as disconnect and measure the resistance of the sensor - should be about 1090ohms at room temp (75F)

SOURCE: Error code E2 F2

As you are aware the technical manual for your range doesn't show an error code of E2 F2 but all of the F2 codes pertain to the touchpad of the range.
Can you clear the E2 F3 by pressing the cancel button? If not, shut off the power to the range for a few minutes and see if the error code goes away. If the error code remains You should unplug the range from the wall and remove the back panel for the control area. Disconnect the ribbon between the touchpad and the electronic control, clean the end of it and reconnect it.
If this doesn't repair the problem you will need to replace the touchpad on the range. The parts diagram lists two touchpads, they are part numbers 8273575- bisque, and 8272702- white.
E2 relates to an overheating condition. Quite possibly related to your touchpad issue. I'd try cleaning the contacts and if that doesn't work...Up to you at that point!

Good luck

SOURCE: GE Range Model GRCR3825ZWW-1 DOOR error code on range display

The door latched Micro-switch is not working or is dirty.
Remove the back panel, in the middle of the back there will be a metal arm that moves in and out when self cleaning latch is closed and opened. This arm pushes two or more Micro-Switches in the back, they are dirty or not working and need replacing.

I have a GE Energuide electric oven model GRCR3960ZBB 30" width 453kwh/year.It has started showing flashing light "F2" with some beeping.

Question edited for clarity. You range is a GE. Energuide is just a label to tell you that it is designed with money saving in mind.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks.

F2 is and temperature regulation issue.

If you have a GE oven, the error code F2 on the oven means that the temperature sensor has detected a temperature in excess of the preset threshold. The cause could be a sensor malfunction. However, that's unlikely because there are several GE oven error codes, and a bad sensor should trigger an F3 error code, not F2. Nevertheless, you should test the sensor anyway. If it checks out, you're probably going to have to replace the control panel because it's likely fried.

91136669891 HAS ERROR CODE F2 F3

Are you sure about this error? The 91136669891 was made by Whirlpool for the Kenmore line. The 4 character codes for these ranges are F# E# (not two Fs).

Depending on which error you are actually have see below.

If the code includes F3 then you have a problem with the oven temperature sensor (F3 E2 would be temperature too high). You need to replace the sensor. Sears Parts Direct has the sensor for $74.12: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-number/Kenmore-Parts/Range-Parts/WB21X5301/0022/364/Model-91136669891/0582/0124250?keySuffixId=NA&pathTaken=partSearch&pathRender=modelComponent&documentCompId=P9040087&diagramPageId=00005&productTypeId=x&searchModelNumber=91136669891&subCompDesc=Body&brandDesc=KENMORE&modelDesc=30 . The complete diagram of the oven parts is available here: http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Range-Parts/Model-91136669891/0582/0124250/P9040087/00005?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= . The sensor is part 253.

If the code includes F2, then double check the second code. Whirlpool has no F2 E3 error that I know of. However, F2 errors tend to be a problem with the keypad. Check the wiring connection between the keypad and the control. This should be firm. Then press Cancel. If the error persists, you need to replace the keypad. See http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Range-Parts/Model-91136669891/0582/0124250/P9040087/00001?blt=06&prst=&shdMod= for the parts diagram and prices.

I hope this helps.

Whirlpool oven f2 error code. I turn the oven on and after the initial 10 minute warm-up i get an F2 error code and the oven beeps non-stop. I have already replaced the oven temp sensor. Could it be the...

F2
Oven temperature is too high 1. Look for welded relay contacts on bake or broil relays. If this
happens, replace oven control (also called clock or ERC).
2. For SELF CLEAN
models: check door lock operation.
3. Look for a high resistance connection
or any other cause of high resistance in the oven temperature sensor circuit.
Check sensor, sensor harness and sensor harness connection at sensor and oven
control. Replace sensor if found defective.

Remember: Oven control
(ERC) measures resistance of sensor circuit, not actual oven
temperature

Magtag Stove CRE9400ACW-- -F2- Does anyone know what this code is for. Was going off abut every hour within last 8 hours, now going off every 10 minutes. Thanks1

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2 in your range/oven means oven temperature sensor circuit failure. To resolve this issue you’ll have to check the oven temp. sensor circuit if the reading is more then 1100 ohms then it should be replaced however, if the rating is fine then it is the Electronic Range Control (ERC) that has gone bad & should be replaced. Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.
