first check your sparks plug, if it was never replaced it needs it. next check your air filter, if its clogged and dirty it needs cleaning. let me know if you have any questions about my answer or if these arent the problems, thanks
How long was the machine on without water in it? The thermostat or heating element most likely burned out, so unfortunately you may be stuck with a total loss here :(
This trimmer is only made to be used with 110V, we do not have this model in 240V. There is no way to stop the noise. If you would like to purchase a unit made for 240V please call 1-800-558-9441 and speak with one of the Andis customer service reps.
