The battery is at fault. The charging circuit is fine as it says CHARGING. As the battery is at fault you may like to as Samsung to replace it if the device is still under warranty. Else replace the battery.
you are spoiling the battery.you should not charge it to 6hr,well 1hr-2hr is very suffiecent. problem with your battery.so use it and recharge it when it says low battery. recharge it only 2hr not more than that.
I have that kind of Mp3 Player too... that happened to me, but the PC was able to read mine. However, the reason why the message: "Low Battery USB Disabled" appears, is that you still have remaining battery life, but will only last for less than an hour (indicated by low light and red empty battery sign) you have to make sure the Mp3 is completely discharged. (you'll be notified when you turn on the device while it says: "Low Battery") once that it is completely discharged, you can now plug in the USB cable with the device to the PC... if problem persists, check your PC.. can it read the device? Check if a notification balloon appears at the bottom right corner of the monitor screen. It should say, "Found New Hardware... Samsung YP-Z5F..." if it did not appear, try to INSTALL using the Installation CD given when you bought the product. Just insert the disk into the PC and continue on, then when it is already installed and ready for use, plug in the device! This may be a little hard, but this is the only way I know. Feel free to ask me! I am no technician but I know a lot on devices and fine mechanics. Good luck!
Charging the Player The player needs to be charged before it can be used and every time the battery gets low. It takes approximately 2.5 hours to charge the Player. Once fully charged, the Player lasts approximately 8 hours. To charge the Player: Remove the USB cover on the Player. Connect the Player to the PC using the Flash Plug. The Player will begin charging. The battery indicator should begin to flash, alternating red and green. Once the battery is fully charged, the indicator light will stay red. Note: If this is the first time the Player is connected, wait until Windows detects the Player and follow the prompts to install it.
This player shows the "Do not disconnect" message when it is doing something critical such as transferring tracks or updating firmware, which could corrupt the player if disconnected part way through.
The player shows the "OK to disconnect" when it is idle. As the message says, it's ok to disconnect, as the player will not corrupt if disconnected when it is idle.
These messages mean that the player does not need the "Safe to remove" procedure.
It is ok to disconnect part way through charging. Also the player will condition the battery once it is fully charged, so it's ok to leave it charging.
Occassionally batteries can "memorise" when constantly disconnect and reconnected without fully charging and discharging. To help prevent this, fully discharge the player (leave on until dead) and fully charge and condition (leave charging for about 12 hours) every couple of weeks or so.
try performing recovery mode on the player then after performing recovery mode update the firmware of your player. Recovery mode is > Enable Hold Switch + Press Record Button + Menu Button
