Hello
The loading mechanism has the trouble. The inserted CD or DVD does not engage into the laser assembly unit properly. It may be due some fault with its loading motor or loading belt. Check these.

Rebooting computer wen entering cd even if data cable is unplugge

I can barely understand what you are saying. But if I have it right the system reboots by itself when a CD is inserted...

NEVER remove the data cable while the power is on. [you only get away with this once or twice and then you WILL break something.]

Do not connect a HDD to the same cable as your CD drive. The CD/DVD drive should be on its own cable witt nothing else attached [80pin conductor]. The HDD should be on its own cable. It has a different cable with different configuration and is NOT suitable for your DVD/CD...

Dell Inspiron 1501, died and will not restart

Try to remove the battery and unplug the power supply, then hold down the power button for about 10 seconds. If this doesn't work, it could be that the laptop overheated while watching the DVD.

KVT 617 CD/DVD "reads" but only audio from tuner

Ok, so I called Crutchfield, where I had purchased the unit, and the guy there said this is a common thing. Believe it or not, it IS the wiring. The guy said the blue wire on the harness needs to be connected to the blue/white wire on the Kenwood unit. Which is weird, since it's usually color-coded. He said the blue wire is a 12-volt amp wire, which works with the tuner, but when you take it off tuner, it kills the 12 volts and so you get no sound.

I haven't fixed it yet to be sure it works, but I thought I'd post this anyway, in case someone else is waiting on this. I'll post again if it doesn't work. :0)

No response from DVD - Blue on light flashes but nothing else

I think we're on about the same model here. I found that holding down the "Source" button whilst switching on the power at the mains would temperorly solve this issue. However, it would be nice to switch it on normally.

Jamo DVR 50 Frozen?... Solutions?

I have the same frozen problem vith Jamo DRV-50.
But I found this:

www.leifline.com/reptips/DVD_DVD-VIDEO/DVD.htm

Its a swedish site for electronic repearments, Jamo DVR-50 have problems with heat also and capacitors in the power suply unit goes burned. So the instructions are:

1.Simptoms:Various strange error

2.Solution: Replace the capacitors in the power supply, especially C30 470μF/ 10V, C31 2200μF/ 10V and C16 1000μF/ 10V.

My service guy already told me that some electrical parts in the power supply unit are burned, he replace them and succeded to powerOn the unit but still jamo have problems staying powered on and now im going to tell him to replace those capacitors C30, C31 and C16, and i hope this will work.
