It may be easier to enter the IP address of your copier into your web browser address bar. This will open the menu of the machine. Look for a tab in orange called "addresses" there you can edit scan and fax one touches. You can download user manuals at kmbs.konicaminolta.us

I have an AR-M207 machine scanning error msg

Is it possible to ping top this machine? My i.t tech just whispered into my ear and said perhaps the machine can't scan perhaps because the authentication name/password (login name/paddword of your pc) has changed, so the copier doesnt have the permission to write information directly to your computer.

I need to change a name and set up scan to email

As far as the name goes, I assume that it must be a watermark / overlay that is programmed into your printer driver. Go to the printer "properties" and go into "printing preferences" and select "custom settings", and check the watermark/ overlay settings.
There are a couple of different drivers , so the location of this could vary slightly.
As for programming Email?
If you have some addresses programmed and working already?
The easiest way to add more is to open a web browser and type your printer's ip address in the address bar, select "administrator Mode".
The default user name is "admin". The default password is either "password", or just leave blank (can't remember which)
select "address book", then you will see the names of the destination you have programmed. If you highlight one of them and select "change" you will be able to view the settings that need to be made. Then exit out of that page, and select "add" and input the information for the new destination.
If you have not setr up scan to email, you will need to make many other settings in the web browser that I cannot go through, but it involves all of your TCP/IP settings, email settings such as user name, password, SMTP, POP, etc...etc.
Hope this helps.

KM-1820 scanner setup

The KM-1820 to scan to PC is using SMB, FTP or e-mail.

for SMB:
I am assuming you have the KM-1820 connected within the network and a static IP address for it.
open any Internet browser and go to KM-1820's IP address.
You should see the Command Centre web page.
Go to Basic page and add/register a contact within the Address Book.
Give a name and at the SMB section field, fill up with your computer hostname or the ip address of your computer where you want to scan. Fill up the user name with the local user name - the one what you are using to get into your computer - or create a new LOCAL user for your PC lets say "kyocera". So for SMB will be your computer and username: kyocera. (You will need a password for that computer user (kyocera) ). Then create a folder "scan" where you want ot receive the scanned files and add "scan" at the path field (SMB section of that webpage - command center).
Now share the folder "scan" as "scan".

if you want you can always use the scan to e-mail !! but you need a smtp server. All the settings can be done using that command center webpage.

4200 hp scanjet not compatible with vista

I used the HP latest driver download named sj655en.exe from their website and after 29months of not working, it DID and DOES work now!
The HP Precision Scan LT interface has a little problem of "save as" naming your file since it does not show the file name but you can just add the file name to the folder name and then it'll save your scan.
All of my apps work fine using the import function to the HP Precision Scan LT application.
Since I know HP did NOT update their driver, I'm guessing it's Microsoft having changed something with Vista Home Premium.
Good luck with your re-try of getting the old HP4200C Scanjet working again on your Vista operting system.

Try just using the epson scan utility

1. Launch Epson Scan by going into your HARD DRIVE, APPLICATIONS, and EPSON SCAN.
2. If prompted, select your scanner from the list of models and click OK.
3. In the FILE SAVE SETTINGS window, you can designate the location, name and type of file the scans will be saved as.

-LOCATION defaults to HD/USERS/(YOUR USER NAME)/PICTURES. Click CHOOSE if you wish to change this.
-PREFIX determines how the scan will be named. Type any name you like. You can also designate a start number.
-FILE TYPE dictates what format the scans will be saved in. ie. .JPG, .TIFF, .PDF, or .PICT)
-For example: if the prefix is "img", the start number is "1", and the format is "JPG", the name of the file saved in
PICTURES will be "IMG001.JPG"
4. Click OK once settings are changed as desired.
5. The EPSON SCAN window will open and begin scanning in FULL AUTO MODE. In FULL AUTO MODE the software makes all the decisions for you (as to what is being scanned, where it is on the flatbed, etc). This is the easiest way to scan.
6. If you want full control over the scanning process click PAUSE and change FULL AUTO MODE to HOME MODE or PROFESSIONAL MODE. In the latter two modes you can change your scan settings as desired. Click SCAN after you have selected your settings. Click CLOSE once the EPSON SCAN is finished scanning.
7. When scanning is complete, your images will be saved in the location specified on FILE SAVE SETTINGS, with the prefix and in the format you set.
