The first place to start is if there are no errors showing then make sure that the door is closing properly as door interlock switches are notorious for causing these problems. Also check that the filter is clear and the outlet pipe is not blocked or obstructed. Other than that you should see an error. Try powering off the unit at the mains for 30 minutes and then powering it back on as this often clears minor problems and effectively resets the on board controller logic. If you see any error codes then repost these for oneof us to answer.

Cool water switch seems to be faulty, no water but ice maker seems to be working how do I get access to switch?

Your water line could be frozen in the door. You can disconnect the line under the unit before it goes into the door at the bottom hinge. Push the dispenser button and see if it comes out there. If it does leave the door open till it thaws. Covering the opening with a blanket will prevent the loss of cold in the freezer. . GE makes a heater that will prevent this from happening again. The part number for this heater is WR49X10173.

disconnect the line to the water dispenser at the water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in and try the dispenser. if you hear the valve work but water doesn't come out, the valve is bad. If you don't hear the valve, the dispenser switch is bad

I bought a top load washing machine model number WF T7239 UL on 05Nov2010. Water sensor does not seem to work. Water just keeps filling up the drum and starts overflowing once filled.

Your pressure switch stops the water and allows it to start the next cycle. It's a switch either in the control panel or at the top of the tub with a small tube connected to it which goes down between the inner and outer tub. As the water level increases the air in the tube is compressed until there is enough pressure to make the switch stopping the water from filling. This tube can get clogged and the switch won't work. Remove the tube and clean it out. Blowing on the tube when it's still connected to the switch will make the switch if it's working and clear.

If it fills with water and starts the cycle and the water keeps running in then your water inlet valve on the back where the water supply comes in is sticking. It needs replacing.

no water out of supply line? check float switch bulb inside bottom of machine, then check float switch under unit, if that is good replace inlet valve. Good Luck

Jenn Air fridge water dispensor stopped working

Hi: You press the switch and it makes a faint humming noise. That tells me the switch on the front panel is ok. The switch for the ice and water is actually on the bottom of the ref. The internal system of the ref is not under city water pressure. Ice is made so that's ok. There is a solenoid where the water attaches to the fridge down below which can fail. Just for giggles try tapping the switch with the plastic handle of a screwdriver. To loosen any scale that might have built up. As I'm unemployed also I'm giving you that trick. Otherwise I would just say replace it. I hope this helps, Jeff

Tumble dryer not working

Spoke to my maintenance engineer at work and he said that most of these appliances work by using float switches. After stripping down and drying out the previous day decided to refill reservoir with water and letting drain back in refilled again 15 mins later till no more water could go back in. Then emptied water reservoir and let the water drain back out into reservoir. Think this must have dislodged the float switch and all seems back to normal.

GE Washer wbsr3140d5ww water problem

Hello Chad
Welcome

Sounds like the cold water knob or switch is not switching and may be faulty.

I have a problem with my washer
For some reason when I try to start the washer and I have it set to cold it does not work if I put it to hot then its fine
The cold water does work though because if I change the washer to a later cycle cold water comes out just fine.
So it almost seems like its the timer knob
any ideas?
Thanks
