Question about Heating & Cooling
I tried using my Trane forced air gas furnace (from the 80s)for the first time this season. It comes on for about one minute then it shuts off. I've opened it up and I can see where it ignites the gas and the gas burns for a minute and then it all goes out at once. Don't believe the blower is coming on. If I remember correctly, it usually came on shortly after the gas ignited. Any suggestions on where to start? I need to replace my thermostat (plastic tabs are broken and don't think it always has a good connection), but it worked fine all summer with my a/c and don't think it is the cause of the problem. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Dirty flame sensor if has one, jump out t-stat white to red and see if will run. replace tstat is does.
