An authorized repair facility can fix it. It probably won't be under warranty.
This saw was operated without oil mixed with the fuel.
· Remove the spark plug wire and plug.
· Remove the muffler, hold a light at the plug hole and inspect the cylinder through the exhaust port. Is it smooth and shiny or does it appear speckled with dull gray spots or smears?
· Pull the starter slowly, inspect the piston as it rises and falls. Is it a dull gray without scratches and gouges?
· Hold the light at the exhaust port and inspect the cylinder, above the exhaust port, through the spark plug hole. Is it shiny and smooth or speckled with gray spots or smears?
Any spots or smears on the cylinder or deep scratches and gouges in the piston indicate the saw was operated in a lean condition. Repair of this on a home owner quality saw often exceeds replacement cost. HTH

Any good local saw seller/mechanic can repair it (not all will). Ask for a written quote before authorizing any repair.

WHAT IF I PUT GAS WHERE THE OIL GOES

if you mean where the chain oil lube goes then you could have a fire if any sparks occure ! If its where a seperate 2stroke oil feed should be then you will not lubricate the engine internals and sieze the engine ! Just drain out and fill with oil , 2stroke will need to be bled on the side of oil pump !

I have an old remington super 754 chainsaw that i cannot get to run right. it start with starting fluid but then dies. during the summer i had it running and the blade would spin without me even hitting...

Carburetor is probably gummed up with old gas. Try putting carb cleaner through it, let it soak for a few hours and try again with new gas/oil mix. Always drain and run dry when finished using it.

Poulan 2150 chain saw starts after priming and dies after a few seconds

Take the exhaust off so you can see the side of the piston, if it is scored or damaged it means it has probably been run without oil added to the petrol.
That can cause the problems you are having, if it is throw it away, its not worth repairing

I have a Wolf Gardenline chainsaw WPCS-38CC - what should I use as the oil to petrol ratio?

If you dont know use 25/1.
Or buy a 2stroke one shot bottle of oil, that does the mix for a gallon, most mower shops do it.

Engine dies

Since this is a 2 stroke engine, fuel and air are critical. The "leaking oil" is probably coming from a loose or cracked fuel line since there is no "oil pan" because 2 strokes use the oil in the mix for lubrication. Unless the oil you see is leaking from the chain lube reservoir. Most likely you have an issue with the fuel line. Allowing it to start but when you try to rev it it is sucking in air causing it to lean out and die. If that is intact, I would take the carb apart and make sure it is not gummed up from storage. Hope that helps

Homelite chainsaw won't stay running

Make sure you are using fresh fuel mix (50:1 ratio). Don't use boat motor oil in a saw--only modern synthetics made for saws. Always premix the oil and fuel thoroughly before adding to the saw. Check the fuel filter for plugging and the condition of all fuel lines, plus the primer bulb condition. Check all carburetor fasteners for tightness. Make sure the air filter and muffler are not plugged. If still no help, you may need to service the carburetor. For an excellent article on Walbro carburetors, go to: http://www.drystacked.com Pay particular attention to the placement of the lower diaphragm and the cover gasket--interchanging positions of them cause many headaches. Adjustment of the two jet screws require a special 'D' screwdriver which may necessitate a trip to a servicing dealer for adjustment. Hope this helps!

1995 suzuki sepia 50cc 2stroke doesnt run

Two strokes are bad with fuel/oil mixure. If this is premix theres a problem,if injected you may not be getting oil injected. Topends will heat up fast without oil. Fouled plugs and the wrong gap will also cause these problems. Check carb boot for cracks as air leaks will also starvel fuel out. Spray WD40 into carb throat with out tank hooked up, if it fires up, clean carb and reset float. Make sure the spark gap is correct. Check to be sure you have not slipped a keyway on flywheel which would throw timing off and it will only start by accident once every so often.

If it is brand new, sounds like you should return it for the retailer to have repaired.
