Even my xbox 360 does that sometimes. But usually this occurs when my game discs are not in proper conditions i.e they are scratched.I suggest you to see whether your discs are in proper condition or not.If not then clean them. But if the problem still persists I may not be of any help to you. Thanks for reading.
LOL well 9 months later, I'll answer your question. EVERY Xbox360 dvd drive is "married"to it's motherboard. The communication between the drive and motherboard is encrypted with a key (aka- DVD-key) IF you don't flash the dvd-key from the original drive to the replacement then there is no way the Xbox will ever be able to play anythngg other than music and dvds. You NEED the correct key to encrypt/decrypt the 360 games so the motherboard can understand it.
All dvd drives in an xbox360 are married to the motherboard. The new dvd drive needs to be flashed with the bin from the old drive in order for it to play games. We can do this for you if your interested email us [email protected]
