The lines are there when taking photos and video but not when you review the photo taken - but are still there when you play back the video. the lines are varied thickness and different colours, mainly red and green.

Delete video on my galaxy

Hello

Since you haven't specified the model number it is a bit tough but anyway it works the same way for all the smartphones.Just follow these steps:-
From the Gallery u can delete the video like this
Open the gallery from the Home screen by touching Apps icon_apps.png > Gallery. You can delete a single file, multiple files, or an entire album. Once located, touch and hold the photo or video, and the select screen is shown. You can select one or more files by touching each file's thumbnail. When you select a file, a green check mark will appear on the image. When you have selected all of the files you want to delete, touch icon_delete.png. Touch OKon the confirmation screen.

While viewing photos or videos:-

You can also delete the photo or video when you have opened the file for viewing. When you are viewing a photo, touch icon_delete.png at the top of the screen, and then touch OK on the confirmation screen. When you are viewing a video, the delete option is available only when the video is not currently playing. If the video is playing, wait for the video to finish, or fast-forward to the end of the video. Touch icon_delete.png at the top of the screen, and then touch OK on the confirmation screen.

Immediately after capturing the Photo or Video:-

Your Galaxy Camera has an option that takes you to a review screen after you capture a photo or video. The feature must be turned on before the option is available. From the camera application, touchicon_camera_expandsettings.png> Settings icon_menusettings.png > General > Review > On. While you are on the review screen, touch the screen to open the options menu at the top. Touch icon_delete.png at the top of the screen, and then touch OK on the confirmation screen.
Note: Review mode may not be available for all capture modes.

Hope this would solve your problem. Please rate me if my solution helped you.Have a good day.

Regards,

The viewing screen is dark when I go to take a picture. It works when I am reviewing pictures already taken.

You could try and connnect to your camera to a desktop or where ever you save your photos to. A settings reboot may be needed to refresh your cameras software

I have a pentax ist DL digital SLR. The problem is that when you take a photo and try to review it the photo does not appear, it is just black. previously taken photos come up on the screen to review but...

Are you saying that on the same card, you are able to view other pictures you took but new pictures appear black? (or is this happening on different cards?)

Have a d8o take a picture does not show on back screen

If you wish to manually view all the photos you've taken, press the play button, it is located near the screen on the back with a triangle logo.

If you wish to automatically view photos after they've been taken, press the menu button, go to the sub menu with the pencil icon, and turn "Image review" to on.

If you wish to view the images on the back screen as you take them, this is not possible with the D80. You have to use the viewfinder.

Cant view photos on the big screen of my camera

I think you must have pressed the EVF/LCD button which changes the review area to inside the tiny view finder.. the EVF/LCD button is found on the back of the camera at the top left hand corner.. it is a little silver button. Hope that helps.. :)

Vertical lines and distorted colour on display screen

Just as I got on line to this site I saw your problem being typed in and it's the exact same issue I am having with my Finepix 5000. I've owned it for all of 4 plus years with no problems and really decent photos. I'm getting a blurred image with green/magenta colors when I look through the viewfinder. When I take a photo, it shows the same. It wasn't dropped or even barely touched between the last good photo taken and this. Attached is an example of above description. I would appreciate any advise. See below.7ccd05c.jpg

LCD on - view image prior to taking photo

The feature you are referring to is called "Live View mode".

This is NOT available on the Nikon D80, and was only introduced on the D90, which is available now.

Live View mode allows you to use the LCD screen as your view finder instead of using the eyepiece, but unfortunately, this feature is not available in your model.

LCD Screen does not work properly

Your camera works just like a film camera SLR,. You use the eyepiece to frame and focus your picture. The LCD screen is for reviewing pictures taken or menu operations. You cannot preview a shot on screen before it is taken with the camera.
